  1. I don't think we will be making a futures pick that early. He will be in the NFL. I could see the Bombers taking a DL in the first round if someone like Newell drops to us. Otherwise I'd bank on the pick being OL or receiver. We are really light in both spots for Canadians and we'll be starting 5 Canadians on O at minimum.

  6. My son dragged me to my first ever metal concert this week. Killswitch Engage I was already a fan of and they were amazing. The band that played before them I was not ready for, though! Fun time.

  13. Said it before curious how we'd go only 2 Canadian OL which would mean starting 5 on offense and 3 on defense. Defense the one linebacker spot makes sense with Kramdi, in theory you get a second spot at DT with Lawson and Jake but the third is then what S with Kelly? Not a complaint mind you but a curiosity point right now.

  16. Tui kind of went poof too back in 2022 himself. Have to wonder, had he not chosen to sit out the end of 2021 and all of 2022 would he be our starting C today? I really do believe so, same as I believe he should be the starter today (or at least get a chance to prove he shouldn't be) Only reason Kola even came off the PR was because Eli didn't want the jab leading up to the 2021 GC. Then he became the starter by default because both Couture and Eli made him the last man standing by leaving. Default, the two sweetest words to Kola since 2022

  17. The strangest thing is the timing. Doing it half way through the off season makes no sense. If it was planned, you’d think he’d leave after the gc. Or to give the most help stay till just before rookie camp. The timing makes he think he was pushed out. Despite the fact he left with pure class. 2 years is a really strange band aid term. Montreal continuing to do Montreal things. The self sabotage and infighting they’ve had the past 10 ish years is insane. Idk if the ALs will ever have the stability we have here. It’s messed up, they have the market and people to draw from. But no one will build the stadium or invest in the market. Toronto is permanently dead as a market. edm and cal are on life support. Even with massive cash edm and cal won’t fix easily. But Montreal has the team and staff to maintain success with as good a fan support as they can with how much they are willing to spend on the venue.

  18. The CFLPA confirmed today that they haven't decided what to do with their share of revenue sharing. Just give everyone roster bonuses. https://3downnation.com/2025/03/27/cfl-salary-cap-increase-not-set-in-stone-cflpa-still-working-through-revenue-share-allocation/

  19. Yep, Bombers left him on the PR to end the year so he clearly wasn't a top priority for them.

  20. he was prob tired of not getting to be on the roster in lieu of slugs like Thomas...Kolo...etc....and said eff it....especially when we showed several yrs running we would play hurt guys over our "other number ones"...dont blame him Left like BOLO did.....said eff this crap

  22. Honestly, I'd love for them to continue being #9thForLife and continue to get crappy draft picks and still accomplishing nothing each year... But I could settle for the Jets crushing their hopes and dreams.

  28. So what do people think is the best first round opponent scenario for the Jets? Right now I would rank them as follows: 1. Minnesota falls to 8th behind St Louis and we meet them as the #1 seed - if Kaprizov comes back that may change my view, but I think this is our best match-up and easiest travel load 2. Calgary - they can’t score much, only X factor is Dustin Wolf on net stealing a game or two. 3. Vancouver - Demko’s return changes things a bit, and they have always had more talent than they have shown, but it would be surprising if they played this badly and had so many psychological issues all year to suddenly shrug them off in the playoffs and be a threat again. 4. St. Louis - I think we can take them, but they are on a roll like they weee in 2019 and I don’t wish to repeat that first round match-up if we can avoid it. 5. We fall to second and face Dallas who fall to third- would suck to blow the division lead now and have to run the gauntlet of Stars - Avalanche in two rounds 6.We finish 2nd and face the Avs, I think we have a better teams but they have the better stars who can dominate for one round. Thoughts?

Awesome, Killswitch goes back a ways, glad to hear they still put on a good show! Metal is one of my favorite kinds of shows to see live but it's a tough sell for my nonmetal social group. Deftones are playing the arena this year, looking forward to that. Gojira (France Olympic opening ceremony) is also coming to town (yay) but opening for KoRn (boo, one concert I actually left early it was so sad)

  34. Things in Montreal just drag out for decades while things never change They were talking about a new downtown 30,000 seat baseball stadium 3 decades ago. Yet, here we are in 2025 & it's nowhere near being built as it was in 1998. Nowhere close to getting an expansion franchise either.

  35. https://3downnation.com/2025/03/26/montreal-alouettes-president-mark-weightman-stepping-down/ once again maciocia munches up another tittle for getting them further a long. I can’t imagine this move makes them better, likely just makes he and Rene more money and gives them more power.
