  1. I say this every year, but thank you VERY much to those of you who follow Junior/CIS/NCAA and can provide some input on the prospects. It's greatly appreciated!

  2. Choquette blew the combine up when they put pads on. I have a hard time seeing any team looking for a ball-carrier type RB taking Zorn before him, but maybe a bit of a sleeper into the 3rd-4th round. There's 5 legit CFL quality tailback type guys in this draft and then Stubbs from the U of M who isn't really explosive at this level, and probably too slow/small generally lacking explosiveness to be a special teams guy. But gritty back in CIS so maybe he can translate that into a role. Knight from UBC is another productive guy, tested kind of crappy and kind of aloof at CFL combine, thinks he's headed to NFL. Oshinubi from U of A, not the lead guy on his own team, but the kind of crazy athlete for special teams and maybe spot duty/2 back/H back type guy that everyone needs. Could easily be off the board in 2nd round just based on that physicality. Probably put himself over Knight because he's just an athletic football player, not worried about carrying the ball necessarily. Zorn is a real upright runner, goes down maybe a little too easy for CFL level. Looks to me like he might be the kind of guy you'd switch to blocking back/receiver, utility type. A guy that can be dangerous in space, not sure he'd be very productive as a tailback in CFL. Yazbeck from Western. Surprised with explosiveness, from a real run heavy program that just grinds other teams. So a little different watching his highlight tape than all the guys running out of 5R spread stuff all the time. Another guy IMO that could be a real mid round gem, especially for a team like us going Canadian at tailback. But, main critique again is the upright running, not such a bad habit when you're stronger and wayyy more athletic, but not going to work against pros. Runs heavy, loves to stiff arm and has the home run cuts in him, might be a nice compliment to Brady. Lots of good players here and I'd bet with the depth of defensive guys, receivers and OL they will be on the board in the 3rd-5th rounds.

  3. To an extent. But as JBR pointed out, their D was far below par.

  4. I'd be very unhappy if I was a BC Lions fan. The money spent might have worked if Rick Campbell hadn't effed it up by benching Vernon Adams who was having a MOP season until he got hurt. Taking the reigns away from Adams & giving it to Rourke killed their season .

  5. The league office fines any team penalized for a salary cap violation in the form of withheld monthly equity payments. The money is then evenly distributed to the teams that were salary cap compliant the previous year. This year, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Hamilton, and Montreal will receive an additional $158,761 in compensation. https://3downnation.com/2025/03/28/b-c-lions-exceed-cfl-salary-cap-by-almost-350000-lose-first-and-second-round-picks/

  6. https://www.cfl.ca/2025/03/28/3-cfl-combine-prospects-for-every-team/ “RB Joey Zorn, OL Daniel Hocevar, DL Max Von Muehldorfer Joey Zorn was one of the best testing players in any positional group at the 2025 CFL Combine and the Michigan native who averaged better than seven yards per carry over three seasons with Windsor could slot in behind MOP Brady Oliveira while adding special teams upside. Likewise, offensive lineman Daniel Hocevar could backfill what remains an elite run blocking unit up front with high end athleticism. Finally, Western’s Max Von Muehldorfer, who was perhaps the most unexpected standout of the combine, would potentially add multiple position flexibility for the Bombers including fullback.” not a great article for us Imo. they complete space on the fact we have mci and Logan. I’d be interested in zorn if he slides, but I have a hard time seeing us roster all 3. Murdorfer is an intriguing prospect, far more of an elite athletic lineman than hocevar. Idk if we go after a project dt when we have Lawson/jake/shmek/samson play gowanlock has played fb as a dl, schmek has also played te. Id be good with bringing in a project ni dl, if we are going to convert schmek or dump Jake. Other wise we should be looking at ni de or a guy who can play 3 tech, 4i and some end. Hocevar is solid, but not the biggest fit imo. Athletically, he did what you should expect an ol under 300 lbs to do. I haven’t seen us target top testing cis ol. We go to those guys for intangibles and ceiling. I think guys like Pyle fit better.

  7. Devils were missing no less than 4 of their best players, so they were sleepwalking through this. Good on the Jets to take advantage. The way STL and Dallas are going, every point matters...

  10. Love Woli, but if it wasn't for a fluke tie to a Canadian passport he wouldn't have had a pro football career at all. He earned his keep once established, but he should consider himself a lucky dude.

  11. Some guys I think would be a better fit as combine based prospects for us, We. Hakeem Harris, This years clercius. 6’3 210 ran a 4.59 36” vert 10’9” broad 13 reps 7.12 3 cone 4.25 ss. Didn’t catch a lot of balls down south, but played a lot of teams. He could allow us to use clercius more as a pass catcher and heir to Demski, and fill the blocking role. Two guys like that doesn’t hurt. Db, Eric cumberbatch. Elite size and athleticism at db. Similarly Anton haie. Dl. Liam Hoskins. Elite athleticism and good size at end. Silas Hubert, who has that size to play 3t 4i and book end with tremendous athleticism . Ol. Still really like pile, not the world beater athlete or great size. But the motor, toughness and nasty grit are great. Ethan vibert too. maybe now’s the year we spend a late pick on a qb too. Arnaud Desjardins and Jackson tachinski have both been in camp with us in the past as cis guest QBs. Either could move to wr, and could also be short yardage QBs.

  12. It’s actually insane, they went that far over to finish 3rd, and lose in the WSF. Rourke and Betts worth all that? I don’t think so.

  14. I doubt that was Campbell's direct decision, do you also think he's the one that pushed them so far over the salary cap? The fact he fired Campbell because it didn't all work out the way he wanted is a pretty bad sign, clear case of an owner getting too involved with the football operation IMO.

  18. It’s wild. Rourke cost them a first a second a bundle of cash and made them significantly worse. That’s one of the worst deals in recent history.

  19. The fines for going over the cap get distributed to the teams that were under. As a result, the Bombers will be receiving about 150k. So, even though TO, Sask and Ottawa werent over by alot they still lose out on some cash.

  20. They basically paid $1.3 million for their starting QBs last year that’s the big difference…then Betts. They deprived themselves of so many roster spots, starting crappy players on rookie deals throughout their LB and secondary group which basically killed their chances to even get to the Grey Cup game. Imagine how far over they would have been if they paid for a defense.

  22. we only need to start 7 "true" Canadians...the 8th could be WJ...Bryant....Wilson...Nichols...Holm... So depending on where they declare...5 on offense (2 OL...Demski...BO...Clercius) and 2 on defense...where they slap the 2 is up for debate but I'd prefer to see it at safety and boundary corner...now do we have the guy for that? Who knows but I'd rather see that for if anything give us a more stout front 7 Ideally tho I see no reason why we dont go 3 OL guys as we have....shouldnt be hard...I sure as it sits we be just fine with Wallace and Neuf with Eli and a draft pick in the hopper....and just need to use 1 Canadian on defense and he could be at multiple spots...depending on what we are sCheming throught a game....SafetY some plays..DT....SAM...

  23. Losing a 1st and a 2nd, plus a fine for finishing 3rd and losing in the first round of the playoffs. Way to go BC. Calgary getting 2 extra picks for being incompetent is foolish.

Awesome, Killswitch goes back a ways, glad to hear they still put on a good show! Metal is one of my favorite kinds of shows to see live but it's a tough sell for my nonmetal social group. Deftones are playing the arena this year, looking forward to that. Gojira (France Olympic opening ceremony) is also coming to town (yay) but opening for KoRn (boo, one concert I actually left early it was so sad)

  25. My son dragged me to my first ever metal concert this week. Killswitch Engage I was already a fan of and they were amazing. The band that played before them I was not ready for, though! Fun time.
