  4. Well Pittsburgh did us a solid this afternoon. Time to capitalize and win this one.

  5. I like it. Just put the word some in front of men and you got yourself a deal.

  6. I think a lot about Calvillo's resurgence at the end after people thought he was done. I still think Collaros can be that with the right team around him.

  7. To an extent, it’s a good thing. The idiocy of denying water, hard ass two a days ending with wind sprints till you puke then forced ice bathes was awful. That said the pendulum has swung too far imo. I’d rather see an extra week, with 3 days 1 apart where teams do a full pads two day practice of about 3 hours each including one scrimmage. No stupid drills, but reasonable approximation of football game play. Stick the extra week before/in the middle of the pre season depending on the year for teams.

  8. Not convinced Dru Brown is the guy long term either. Buck as OC may have felt the same. He struggled at times in Ottawa & was benched at one point. Brown may develop into an elite starter but he has a ways to go yet. This will be a very important season for Brown to be sure. It may not be make or break but if he doesn't show growth as a qb then he may be another Nick Arbuckle.

  9. At this point now...he won't be better...adequately capable? I think on a consistent basis that's a stretch now too..the succession and or plan in place should have been in place last yr already..and if that meant letting guys like Biggie..Thomas...even a demski go last yr to keep Brown..then so be it tho I still not 100 percent sold he is the guy yet either Buck will have him duck and chuck and go 70 percent deep to intermediate vertical all game...does he have the oline there to not get him killed?? TBD Buck had hard time deviating from a game plan if it wasn't working

  10. So how long before Chris Jones returns as HC of the Elks? Do they have a thing against trying new people out in positions? It feels like it's a constant recycling of has beens with them.

  11. Really hope Ehlers can go. We need his offense.

  12. What are you basing that on exactly. Yards thrown cuz Ottawa didn’t really use a RB the last several weeks. I mean I like dru also but just cuz he put up numbers doesn’t mean much. Bo Levi did also and Hamilton was the 3rd worst team in the league maybe 2nd worst in the end. I like Dru but it appears he started off very strong got hurt and maybe figured out a bit then kinda was just average.

  13. Hell no, why would you lump sexual deviants with us regular men? Men are not awful, most of us are good people.

To be fair don't think he spends much on the flames either. Guy is just a cheap prick

  15. The commissioner has rarely had a significant role in those areas. They have a competition committee that deals with rule changes. Under Ambrosie aside from the off-field conduct and major decisions like suspensions and Marino barring a player from the league most of the supplemental discipline has been handled by Darren Hackwood and the group of game supervisors. Yeah the Halifax thing is a joke that needs to end. They have major issues with every franchise west of Sask. BC is doing ok if the owner keeps plowing cash in and is willing to lose money. See how long that lasts. Edmonton and Calgary both have major problems off the field. Hard to know how long those franchises can stand with major losses, like $5 million a year in operations. Montreal, Toronto always need attention too.

  18. Also, you can watch Chris Streveler on Instagram @cstrevy5. I've been following his off season workouts & I don't think I've seen a pro athlete work as hard as Streveler, not only to overcome his knee injury but also to keep working on changing his fundamentals from the old "linear" to the more modern "rotational" qb. He looks ready to go as well.

  19. It’s entirely true of the product on the field. We took vanilla and made it bland gelatine. I have no doubt the room was watching and talking about stuff but virtually none of it made it to the field.

  20. Look, I'm not sitting here trying to give Zac a free pass. He needed to be, and needs to be better. I am simply stating the obvious that in the past 3 Grey Cups he has gone up against juggernaut defences while our defence allowed late game heroics by opposing QBs. Should Kelly ever have been able to come off the bench and beat us? Fajardo take it to us in the 4th Q? Arbuckle actually do anything productive let alone beat us? There is more to these losses than Zac's play that's for sure. I would take Dru or Rourke over Zac now too. Sadly, that option is not available to us. Vaj...nope...I'll stick with Zac thank you.
