Provincial health officials announced 78 new cases of COVID-19 and no new deaths in Manitoba Friday. There are 712 active cases in Manitoba, with 92 people in hospital, 19 of them in intensive care. The five-day test positivity rate is three in Manitoba. Of the new cases announced Friday, 20 are in the Winnipeg health region, 31 in Southern Health; eight in Interlake–Eastern; 11 in Prairie Mountain; and eight in Northern Health. Of these, 61 are in individuals who were not fully vaccinated. This includes: eight new cases, with seven not fully vaccinated, in the Interlake-Eastern health region; eight new cases, with eight not fully vaccinated, in the Northern health region; 11 new cases, with 11 not fully vaccinated, in the Prairie Mountain Health region; 31 new cases, with 24 not fully vaccinated, in the Southern Health-Santé Sud health region; and 20 new cases, with 11 not fully vaccinated, in the Winnipeg health region.
