Just move a word, and viola! Buffalo was a perfect storm for that trade. They saw a couple of players they wanted, had a couple of pieces that fit our needs that they also needed to move, and would be able to take a bigger step towards guaranteeing the first overall pick while doing it. That's not going to happen again. The asking price for Vermette will be stupidly high, just like it always is for that type of player at this time of year, because there's always at least one team willing to pay it. Teams are trying to re-build using those players as chips, they aren't going to take our offer of the hockey equivalent of pocket lint. I have yet to see anything from Postma that doesn't suggest he'll play in the AHL for five more years before having a successful career in a European league. Every other defenceman who has graced our roster this year and last has shown me more than Postma. Redmond, Clitsome, Pardy, Chariot, Harrison, and even Ellerby. Any trade that happens involving Postma; he's going to be the Jason Kasdorf of the deal. A throw-in to help grease the wheels. If there was only 1 superstar available in the draft, EDM might move one of the big 3 but alas first/second picks are both good so they won';t do anything.

I won't go as far to say Chariot better then Myers but I see Myers as #6 defensively. Playing with lil Toby just seems like a mistake.

So you also believe that a team going into the playoffs should not sign rentals? Teams that think they got a good/great chance to win the cup will trade for players ala Jarome Iginla. I do not see the Jets at that level at the moment. Still lots of games before trade deadline so anything could happen.

I just didn't think the Jets played that good. I'm pretty sure they were outhit and that's a pretty rare event to my eyes.

This is, without any doubt at all, the stupidest thing that's been done, in any way, in any sport, in my life. I agree. Sask-Edm preseason game, Toronto-Edm regular season game and the possibility of a BC-Edmonton preseason game as BC PLace may not be available due to the Women's World Cup. That game could also be played in Victoria though, but nothing confirmed yet. No stadiums in Atlantic Canada? It'd be nice to increase the CFLs exposure there considering they're expected to get a team soon. Maybe its time to just start blaming the cities. QC/Halifax...build something already!

Videos like that and the recent Jets trade makes me wonder if anyone on our 4th line now will be back next year.
