Jerome Bettis was that type of back. 5-11 and 255 lbs... For me, he was the funnest RB to watch, ever. I know he never played in the CFL, but still, kind of relevant.

Same here. I couldn't stand Pat Woodcock, so I loved that hit even more. I was in BC watching the game in my hotel lounge... I jumped up and yelled whooooooooo, when Ray made contact. No one else was watching, of course, so they thought I was nuts.

Hubbard is talented, but not a high effort/motor guy. I'm sure that was a determining factor.

And yes, I absolutely think a guy could travel to a camp to try out and not give it 100%. You maybe underestimating the egos on some of these players. He wouldn't have been the first guy to think they were going to come in and own the CFL.
