I dont think coming back to the ball is an issue when you dont throw deep balls several games in a row. Even intermediate routes where out the window. While i think our talent is good at wr, if there are upgrades available id take em. I dont think you limit your self to positions of need when scouting americans, take the best of whats familiar. I think you're wrong. Moore is a good receiver, Denmark can be but he's pretty invisible these days, Adams has been putting way way too many passes on the turf so what good is he? Veltung is a rookie who shows some promise but isn't at the level we need yet, the Canadians are OK but not really threats, more of the solid but unspectacular that you can't really lean on types. I don't think Calgary were always healthy on the OL. When we played them they were using a DL on the line because they had run out of healthy guys. Pretty sure he meant Ottawa's Oline has been healthy... Calgary and Ottawa have had healthy QB's all season.

Agreed. Willie looked great. He showed some flashes of having some big play abilities. I actually noticed Willie looks HUGE out there... I was surprised he's only listed at 6'2 220... I woulda guessed 6'5 235... I thought the exact same thing. Dude looked massive.

No big surprise- Wild is a sort of "tweener"- too small for an NFL linebacker and not really suited to be a DB. I would love to see him here as an outside linebacker. Yes, he is a "tweener", but he had been getting a fair bit of praise during camp and in the preseason games, playing ST, ILB and S. Thought he would at least survive the first round of cuts.

There are rumours, currently, that Ian Wild has been cut from the Steelers. Nothing official yet, but he was seen putting his clothes and other belongings into a garbage bag. A little surprised he would get axed in the first cut down.

I liked what I saw from Veltung at the beginging of the season... I wouldn't be against it, that's for sure.

Id rather see us stick an olineman back to return kicks then either of those guys. I like washington as a player, but both of these guys are keith stokes at best returning the ball. I don't know, Stokes wasn't too bad returning punts. Pretty sure he was an allstar once or twice. I know one year with the Bombers, he had 4 return TD's.

Maybe it will allow them to rotate Simmons in at MLB?

DE Justin Cole has also been moved to the #Bombers' active roster. He signed with Winnipeg on August 3.

Pretty sure Jyles was new to us at that point.
