Had to turn it off. How many times do you really want to watch a train wreck?

The Rematch: Toronto back here Friday
BomberBall replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Darrin Bauming @DarrinBauming 3m3 minutes ago #Argos head coach Marc Trestman says, after speaking with doctors, they are “reasonably confident” James Wilder Jr. will be ready to play Friday vs the #Bombers. Wilder suffered a leg injury in practice Wednesday. Dexter McCluster (leg) is out. -

Bauming - Nichols says receiver Kenbrell Thompkins is “a dude” and possesses the tools and skill set to be the next big time receiver in the CFL. You don’t often hear things like that — says a lot about what might’ve gone into the decision to move on from Bowman. #Bombers A dude and a blue chipper.... Not bad. -

Matthew ScianittiVerified account @TSNScianitti James Wilder Jr and Dexter McCluster were just driven away from #Argos practice. Both appear to be lower body injuries. Martese Jackson and Brandon Burks splitting reps behind James Franklin. #CFL -

He's nowhere right now. He's a free agent. I'd be surprised if anyone picked him up. -

That seems like a very reasonable deal. -

I was kind of hoping to get a look at Washington, but I understand why they're going with Tompkins. As long as it's not Lankford! And yeah, he couldn't do much less than Bowman did.... Tompkins could actually surpass what Bowman did in 1 game. -

Darrin Bauming @DarrinBauming 49m49 minutes ago Kenbrell Thompkins is with the first-team in the vacated spot left by Adarius Bowman — at least in the early going here today. #Bombers The good news; Chris Randle is practicing today after missing last week. The bad news; Chandler Fenner is not — missed last two games — and more #Bombers DBs are banged-up as Brendan Morgan and Jeff Hecht are non-participants. -

Fair enough. I'm not sure I agree that Tanev is much better... He has more experience at the NHL level and Maurice seems to love him, but he is, IMO, a pretty limited player. I'm also not sure Lemieux hasn't started 'putting it together'. He had 43 points in 51 games last year, up from 19 in 61, the year before. Obviously, stats don't tell the whole story, but that's a nice move in his 2nd year. I went to a couple of Moose games last year, and he stood out, in a good way. Haven't seen him enough to know how he is defensively or on the PK, but I'd like to see him get a shot. -

I get the Tanev signing, but couldn't Lemieux fill that roll now? And possibly have some upside? -

I'm not positive, but I think I read somewhere that he was put on the 6 game. Not great for our special teams to be missing him and Jones

Saturday: Do Bombers Win Doubleheader?

From Knuckles.... Bombers have lost CFL leading special teams tackler Shayne Gauthier for at least 2 weeks due to injury. Chandler Fenner questionable for Saturdays game in BC. -
Saturday: Do Bombers Win Doubleheader?

Some uncertainty about #Bombers secondary for this week's game at B.C. Chandler Fenner has not practised so Moe Leggett was filling in at dime back (SAM), but Leggett seems to have tweaked something in practice today. Could be a big shuffle coming if both can't go. ................. Ted Wyman @Ted_Wyman 4m4 minutes ago Moe Leggett has returned to the action for the #Bombers, and is playing dime back again Wow, thankfully Moe came back. -

DarDarrin Bauming @DarrinBauming 1h1 hour ago Outside of Chandler Fenner who looks to be taking a maintenance day, the #Bombers starters on O and D all look to be here and healthy as they return to the practice field ahead of Saturday’s rematch in Vancouver. -
Odds and Sods - BC Lions at Winnipeg Blue Bombers
BomberBall replied to do or die's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Not sure how the officials could miss it, but if they did, what about the infamous 'eye in the sky'? Aren't they supposed to jump in when something blatant is missed? I could see it from my seat, but it wasn't the best angle, so I can't say if it was egregious or not. He certainly tried to kick Miles though. -
Darrin Bauming @DarrinBauming Matt Nichols and Chris Streveler taking turns running the #Bombers first-team offence in the final 12-on-12 session of practice, but it was mostly Nichols — he started and finished. Streveler also running with the second-team.
