Very interesting article on Ukraine's military modernization from 2014...

Sorry guys, you can't paint ALL republicans as batshit ******* crazy because of Boebert, Greene, Cotton, Gaetz, Hawley, nor that every republican sees ALL non-republicans as socialist, communist, pinko. What you are saying here is the same messaging as fox and all, from the left POV.
-
I do, there are some moderate republicans. I don't feel that the Democrats will gain a crazy amount of sane republicans.... but I do think that a fractured GQP would benefit the Democrats.
-
This needs to make more rounds on the EU social media rounds... probably all the NATO countries too...
-
Solid documentary. Wow, it's almost 20 yrs old. I highly recommend it. Trailer here: If it interests anyone, you can watch it in it's entirety.
-
If a true progressive party were to emerge in the USA, they would just siphon off votes from the Democrats and the GQP will always be in power. What the USA needs to become more progressive is for an ÜBER right-wing party to form from a fractured GQP... then the Dems would probably slide more left.

Here is another report from Der Spiegel about what @Tracker was talking about https://www.spiegel.de/international/germany/possible-evidence-of-russian-atrocities-german-intelligence-intercepts-radio-traffic-discussing-the-murder-of-civilians-in-bucha-a-0a191c96-634f-4d07-8c5c-c4a772315b0d "The radio traffic intercepted by the BND makes it seem as though the atrocities perpetrated on civilians in Bucha were neither random acts nor the product of individual soldiers who got out of hand. Rather, say sources familiar with the audio, the material suggests that the troops spoke of the atrocities as though they were simply discussing their everyday lives." And more... "DER SPIEGEL has learned that more intercepted radio traffic is currently being analyzed, though it is apparently difficult to precisely localize some of the audio. Some of the recordings apparently indicate that incidents such as those in Bucha have also taken place elsewhere. There are reportedly indications of potential atrocities in the area surrounding Mariupol, the large city in southern Ukraine that has been besieged by the Russian military."

All this talk of the conservative right's fascination with autocracy and fascism is all but too timely. I checked the date- it's 4 days after April fool's day.
-
Lesser of two evils?
-
Sadly, in this scenario, yeah- the Democrats are the "good guys".
-
Good point! Add to that the 147 Democrats in congress that tried to overturn the election by voting against cert.... wait- sorry my mistake republicans... Yeah, not the same. You legit have one party that is actively trying to destroy democracy.
-
You are "both siding" this? In the USA, there is one party that stands for democracy and one that is trying to systematically dismantle the american republic... you can't "both sides" this thing.
-
WTAF is this all about? Why on Earth would Biden get impeached? I mean, other than the INSANITY that is today's GQP. I have not seen anything credible to conclude that this will happen or is even merited. Wait... unless you are talking about spaceforce...

I think he's "whatabouting" the war crimes. Also, interesting read here:

Is it possible to abandon something that you never possessed?

WHy the **** is Hungary still part of NATO?
-
Good lord, I weep for the USA sometimes... useful idiots, the lot of them are.
-
First this: Then this: These ******* monsters.... Also, was anyone else as cynical as I was when they were showing the russian mobile crematorium? All I could think when I saw that was, "Those aren't just to hide russian casualties... mother fuckers are going to use them to hide ******* war crimes."
-
How do you figure? What data, metric or policy changes are you using to come to this conclusion? Genuinely curious, because I am often a victim of my own confirmation bias.
-
SOme very interesting information on the logistics of the failed attempt to take Kyiv in 2 days and what scenarios might playout:
-
Yeah, still a bit vague. I hope it's true, but I will sit on that assumption and wait for confirmation- especially since the info war is raging on both sides.
-
Is this confirmed? I haven't seen anything confirming the strike. A fire and explosion... but no confirmation of missle strike.
