  1. Yeah, it was pretty sincere... here is the video:
  2. Well, you guys certainly deserve it.
  3. Didn't see anyone post today's update, so I thought I would post some updates: Bartley's got the goods- click on the tweet for the thread- it's pretty comprehensive. CBC update: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/manitoba-covid19-update-brent-roussin-1.5968088
  4. In yesterday's episode of "Fox, Manufacturing Outrage: Culture War Edition"... Love the fact the weather guy had to correct Hegseth in such a "Matter of Fact" way.
  5. My biggest beef with the CWB is lack of transparency- they refused to open up their books to the stake holders, and I feel that was a huge mistake. The producers were footing the bill and were not allowed to see how it was being spent. It was a great equalizer, but needed an over haul in the way they treated the stakeholders. But the way the cons went about it...
  6. The Wheat Board was effective because it was a monopoly. The cons used legislation to break the monopoly, thus ending the WB. The plebiscite was a farce. Conservatives didn't abolish the WB, they broke it. In turn it became unsustainable and thus was sold off. The Cons were 100% the reason for the WB breaking up. They brought in Ian WHite for a reason.
  7. Holy mother of **** balls... during this entire pandemic- for this last year, I have not heard news or reports that frightened me, concerned sure- frightened? Never. Until now... this is pretty scary- this newer P1 variant out of Brazil... here is a thread: The most concerning part of this, BC: Damn... 2 to 2.5 TIMES more contagious Chance of reinfection for those who already had the "wild" Covid19 strain... many more people aged 20 to 30 dying
  8. This is pretty cool.
  9. Sound on.
  10. There were pros and cons to the the Wheat Board- the main thing was that teh cons came in and dictated what was going to happen to it. I feel it should have been left up to the farmers to do away or keep it. I think what's left of the WB is now owned by a Saudi corp...
  11. She's brilliant and wil be missed.
  12. Yeah... after Sandy Hook, and the lack of anyone doing anything... that was game over. They're done.
  13. Here is a good article on smart gun control, it's a start. or... bullet control
  14. Nice to hear some truth and actual facts on fox: They are really fortunate to have her.
  15. "The federal government says it does not believe COVID-19 vaccine shipments to Canada would be affected by export restrictions being considered by the European Union. A report in the New York Times says the EU is finalizing emergency legislation that would give it broad powers to curb exports of COVID-19 vaccines for the next six weeks, as part of its response to supply shortages at home. The report says that would make it harder for pharmaceutical companies producing COVID-19 vaccines in the EU to export them. In an emailed statement, the press secretary for Mary Ng, minister of small business, export promotion and international trade, said Ng's counterparts have assured her that these measures will not affect vaccine shipments to Canada." https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/vaccine-shipments-canada-eu-1.5961888
  16. This is reassuring: "Last week, Manitoba announced it was piloting a new model at its supersites in Morden and Winnipeg, which it said will streamline delivery by having patients sit in one area while immunizers move between them. On Wednesday, task force members said the new model will increase the number of doses each immunizer can deliver from between six and eight per hour to around 60."
  17. First off: "The news comes as members of Manitoba's vaccine task force announced they will pause expanding vaccine eligibility criteria as appointment capacity has reached its limit. " They need to start ramping up their vaccination plan to accommodate the steady supply of vaccines. Also, is it just rose-coloured glasses or are the covid related deaths going down- a lot?
  18. Makes sense. You would have to cut the redundant programs. Personal tax exemption levels would have to be looked at... probably the easiest way to start implementing it...
  19. Wow... quite the difference in coverage over on fox, Newsmax and oann about the Boulder shooting than the Atlanta one... Is it the amount of victims? Grocery store vrs spa? Race of victims? Race of the shooter? But man, the coverage is completely night and day with these **** stations.
  20. Why do they cover the shootings differently?
  21. Well, you can literally own one of these in the states:
  22. ?? "law-abiding gun owners"? So... non-law abiding gun owners don't get "commonly-owned rifles (AR-15s) and 10+ round mags" ?? Idiots, the lot of them. Law-abiding gun owners until they're not... usually ending up as a mass shooting event...
  23. These are curious moves... its almost as if he had stocks and stakes in the UPSP's main competitors and is making moves to knee cap the USPS....
  24. The choice of the decerning mass shooter... Why the **** are these not banned into oblivion? And why are there so many mass shootings?
  25. Yeah, so... causation.... nevermind:
