yet Joseph Cofer Black is on the board @ burisma with little to no experience or qualifications and he's not being investigated... oh right, because his dad isn't running against trump... JCB is also the business partner of Erik Prince... that might also be why he's untouched...

What in the actual **** is Alan dershewitz arguing here? Obstruction of "Congress" is not a crime? damn... And the fact he is arguing that Abuse of Power and Obstruction of justice is not an impeachable offense is crazy. Looks like someone is trying really hard to convince the AG to stop any serious investigation into the Epstein murder... lol

Biden is the new Hillary.

I don't think Pam Bondi is doing the GOP any favours...

Wait, what? how is anyone selling themselves out over a dickbag? How are we helping him sell books because we want him to testify? I don't think that's how book sales work... Just because he is a warmonger and a generally awful person, doesn't mean that his testimony lacks merit... evidence is evidence. No one is championing bolton by wanting to hear him testify under oath... That is quite the leap in logic.

Yet here you are, parroting his disinformation... I am not trying to pile on here @Zontar but you aren't really helping your side of the argument here. If you have some facts you want people to hear, just list it and offer some factual support for it.

But aid was withheld. It was eventually released when the investigations began...

An so it begins, the final "defense strategy": The "So-what defense"... god I am going to be ill.

Cool thing I read recently is that Justice Roberts might be able to issue a quick ruling on executive privilege and take another bullet out of the GOPs "argument".

Just because the information leak was used to to promote a book doesn't make it any less true... It smacks of opportunism, money over country, but it still doesn't make it any less true.
-
Maybe, but I like to give @Zontar a chance to provide some evidence. If it holds water, I am open to changing my mind.

Discredited by who? Hannity?

So... who are we banning? Canadian citizens? Visitors? People going to or coming from? How would you enforce it? Has banning travel been effective in the past? (Hint: it was not).
-
How would a travel ban help? Is there any other country that has imposed a travel ban?

Nah- when asked for proof, the conversation gets ignored. Still awaiting the evidence of millions of illegals voting.

The specific charges against Clinton were lying under oath and obstruction of justice.

Nice to see this! https://www.wthr.com/article/seymour-teen-honored-raising-money-baby-box-saved-child https://www.cnn.com/2020/01/25/us/teenager-baby-box-newborn-baby-trnd/index.html Good to read about these things! -
Well, I don't see how you can know there is no evidence if it's being blocked and not investigated. Sure you are are right about generating more "drama", but you can't say with any amount of certainty that there is no new evidence. "Obstruction of justice, in United States jurisdictions, is a crime consisting of obstructing prosecutors, investigators, or other government officials. Common law jurisdictions other than the United States tend to use the wider offense of perverting the course of justice. Obstruction is a broad crime that may include acts such as perjury, making false statements to officials, witness tampering, jury tampering, destruction of evidence, and many others. Obstruction also applies to overt coercion of court or government officials via the means of threats or actual physical harm, and also applying to deliberate sedition against a court official to undermine the appearance of legitimate authority." And abuse of power may not be technically, a crime , but it sure is an impeachable offence.

Just watched Picard... it is really good. Well written, wonderfully acted and the cinematography is crazy good. I have no qualms about this episode at all. It is very rewarding for fans of ST:TNG and the movies with that crew- lots of fan service without crossing over to be pandering... there is a warm feeling of nostalgia- like picking up and opening a favourite book that you haven't read in forever. This is a return to a Star trek that is cerebral, introspective and asks us to evaluate our moral values. My entire family watched it and to a tee, the all enjoyed it.

That is exactly what I was thi- Hey, you get outta my head! -
The one fact Josh fails to mention in the article - that is a very important difference- is that trump used tax payer money that was approved by congress to leverage political gain- that needs to be addressed. For all the 99% of the other stuff he's done the call shouldn't be an impeachable offense. The Obstruction though... that article is 100% impeachable for the sheer complete stonewalling of all evidence- he should be removed from office for that alone... "Absolute Immuntiy"... GTFO.
