Well, I don't see how you can know there is no evidence if it's being blocked and not investigated. Sure you are are right about generating more "drama", but you can't say with any amount of certainty that there is no new evidence. Just watched Picard... it is really good. Well written, wonderfully acted and the cinematography is crazy good. I have no qualms about this episode at all. It is very rewarding for fans of ST:TNG and the movies with that crew- lots of fan service without crossing over to be pandering... there is a warm feeling of nostalgia- like picking up and opening a favourite book that you haven't read in forever. This is a return to a Star trek that is cerebral, introspective and asks us to evaluate our moral values. My entire family watched it and to a tee, the all enjoyed it.
