  1. The absurd pic of Milhouse holding 1984 is awesome... The smugness oozing from it with overtones of ridiculousness... double plus good.
  2. Wallstreet already knows this... You can tell by the fact they spend a **** tonne on government lobbyists to gut regulations... But, you already knew that. Which leads me to the point: what game of silly bugger are playing at?
  3. Yup, totally feel for you. Those are insane interest rates...
  4. https://themeasureofaplan.com/canadian-housing-affordability/ Cool site that gets you all the info you need. Make sure you use the drop-down menus above each graph: In 1999- the average cost of a house was $83,738 the average household income was $42,300 In 2022 the average price of a home was $364,300, the average household income was $82,900 The price of a home is nearly 4 times higher now and our household income has only doubled.
  5. First off, where are you from? What kind of food do you like? - Feast Bistro -Cibo Cafe -Sous Sol -Tons of MIcro Breweries... as for spots... -Canadian Human Rights Museum. -Shop and dine @ the Forks -Try and book a tour at the Canadian Mint But realistically- if you are just keeping it in Winnipeg you are seriously missing out... So much to do outside of Winnipeg. -Clear lake -Riding National Park -Gimili for some Icelandic experiences Various beaches -various fishing places. -Hecla is awesome.... I guess it depends on how much time you are spending here.
  6. At least TH said that there are 4 or 5 potential 1000 yard receivers... I took it as there are receivers capable of hitting 1k, not like KJ saying they can have 4 different 1k receivers in the same year...
  7. Agreed, it's not trudeau's fault at all. I was just clarifying it for @Noeller.
  8. Which is a ~30% increase... Also, many people refinance their mortgages and lose out on reduced principal to pay off credit card debt. I expect to see more of this happening in 2025 and 2026.
  9. the figures they are pointing out are pretty accurate... if you took out a mortgage in 2020, it was like (average) 2.03% 2.43% - the mortgage rate projected in 2025 (after the 5 yr term is up) will be roughly 4.5 or higher. That is a serious increase in your mortgage payments... so if you are paying around 1500$ a month now for your mortgage- you will be looking at 2500 to 3000$ payments per month.
  10. It just seemed dismissive and snarky... He clearly feels torn, he has been keeping up with the news and he is clearly engaged and is not blindly voting cons this time... he clearly sees a huge issue with voting for Smith. He may not have done an indepth study on her iconography or gone through a ton of videos of her... but he is being open minded and is trying to make informed choice... he just not at the level others are... So all I am saying, it read as dismissive and frankly a little "**** youish". I guess tone is really susceptible to misinterpretation over text. Anuways, I agree whole heartedly with the second paragraph.
  11. Yeah, I was paraphrasing, with a bit of exaggeration. Regardless, if some one said that to me, I would be pretty much, "well, **** you too."
  12. A weird way of apologizing... Stranger way to get people to listen to the information that people need (seriously- thanks for that, it was really informative and drive home what Smith is all about). You insult someone and essentially tell them they are too ignorant and shouldn't vote, then go on to inform them of what Smith stands for in hopes that the person doesn't vote for Smith- seems counter productive.
  13. I think the most telling thing in that poll is the "I Don't Know" column.
  14. It's literally there on page 7 of that link. what am I reading wrong? https://www.mbllpartners.ca/sites/mbll_b2b/files/pdf_pamphlets/Pricing Information Manual 2022 (1).pdf
  15. To be fair though... 3 points out of first... you could just make it a three team top tier.... Blue Bombers/BC/Stumps and then everyone else... @Brandon makes a good point- stumps did not suck on offense, at all.
