Towne 8 is closing for good (see the RIP thread) and the person that announced it on twitter included this little tidbit, I saw a handful of films there, the first thing I saw there was Babe in 1995
there goes the last downtown movie theatre (I've seen a majority of them close, including both the Imax and the Globe at Portage place, not to mention the old famous players)
