My feeling about the who's worse Kelly or Burke is that Burke just seemed like a guy who wasn't ready and suddenly realises that he didn't know what the heck he was doing (blank stare) whereas Kelly was like Jones a blow hard who really thinks he knows what he is doing. They think by doing something no one else is doing (Jet set or jetting in an over the hill NFLr) they are sooo smart. I hated those guys. I have had the pleasure of working for those kind of guys and the guys who are over the head. The actively bad are worse than the passively bad.

I wanted to say that but it is a bit negative to the game we love. Besides that some NFL QB's have serious flaws. Good QB's in general are incredibly hard to find.

Burke was a bad memory but to say he was worse than Mike Kelly is re writing history. Mike Kelly brought a historical offensive set and tried to use i in the modern era. He couldn't run a football team either. Someone here has a hobby of criticising MOS as a leader. Compared to Burke and Kelly, MOS is a master. We need the season to start before the knifes come out.

I was just going to post this sort of thing. QB is a hard position to get for CFL for many reasons and it shows and not just for our team. The fact that a couple of teams seem to feed the whole league shows that only a few people have the right combination of connections and evaluation skills to find CFL QB's.

My wife crochets when a tv show or a basketball game gets too intense. She crocheted all the way through Dexter when we watched it. So the knitting might be releasing tension like fidgeting. Or like the "ladies" pictured above a handy excuse for carrying weapons.

I think the DL is upgraded and the receivers are upgraded. Some of the factors that started the team badly will not be present (Willy) or not be missing (Denmark). If we can have more than one receiver that clicks with the QB then offence should be plenty better. I know the turnovers don't seem repeatable but maybe my glasses are rose coloured. I seem to remember that it was defensive smarts and effort that drove those turnovers not lucky bounces. Nevis seemed scary last year and if he can pressure himself or hold double teaming then there will be pressure. If there's pressure there will be turn overs. I agree with Atomic except switch Eskies and Riders and the east will have TO fighting it out with Montreal for draft position (before a Bomber trade of course).

Hey my first computing job was writing an accounting system on a double floppy TRS80. The next job was converting a basic program on a TRS80 to a minicomputer. That TRS80 had a 5 MB hard drive that I had to clean the filter every week so that it didn't overheat. My first computer was an Apple clone with a cassette tape storage like the photo. OK no more nostalgia.

You have hit the nail squarely here. It is a practice squad not a development squad. It is about the money.

I don't think the fans here are making up the rumours that were flying around at the draft. Media people were relaying rumours that must have come from CFL insiders. Did Walters mess up? Seems that way in hind sight but draft picks are not perfect for anyone. I am not going to say Walters is a dummy because I am basking in an off season that actually seems a bit hopeful. That is a pretty rare thing over the years. My personal take is the the Huffer started the rumours to make sure he got the kid. 3D chess baby.

I don't think there is any equivalent to the kind of stuff. for the art gallery MO's physique was on display (along with other local athletes and dancer(s)) as a comparison to the Greek and Roman statues on display. Along with the ballet I would say Mo's off field stuff is way more classy.

There are changes coming there for sure. That golf course will be developed but I am not sure it is cost effective to put in more parking for 9 games a year plus whatever concerts can be snagged.
