The NFL punting fair catch is the most boring thing ever, except for the kick offs through the end zone. At least they adopted a longer PAT to add a little spice into that part of the game kind of like some other "lesser" league.

The problem like the football club is all about expectations. The first problem is this forum is on the Internet. The internet was invented for people to vent their frustrations or for universities involved in weapons design to talk to each other after a nuclear attack although I am not sure what there would be to talk about. The second problem is that only people who are deeply emotionally invested are going to spend the time to post and read here. Emotional investment does not usually reap a dividend of intellectual results or positive attitudes for that matter. The third problem is that in a very small league the BB have not won a cup in a long long time. So long ago that some of the yellers here did not witness it. They don't have the pleasant memories of Tyrone Jones waddling at amazing speed to chase down a quarterback or the fireworks when Matty had his enormous passing game. Pleasant memories have a way of dulling the pain. I think the best thing you can take away from these fire breathing discussions is that with the exception of a few knuckleheads we are all on the same side.

The question is do you hire someone to communicate to professional football players or to communicate with fans, some with more football knowledge than others .

Come on. That sounds like a lot work making wild ass guess numbers add up and stuff. I thought this was a place to come and yell about firing the coach (whoever that happens to be at the time).

Football in general is so full of near misses with career ending injuries or careers derailed by coaches misusing players or players not taking advantage of situations when they happen. Just another reason why football is so compelling to watch.

Maybe this is the reason MOS wanted to field all the media so that his coaches didn't get all worked up over this stuff.

I was yelling "Randle Island is back" from the living room and got my daughter in the room so I could show that play on DVR. It was awesome. There were a few other plays from other players that were a bit less awesome. cough cough cone.

I heard that preseason teams only wear one uni (home or away) to cut costs. The rosters are pretty big right now so I can see that but it does make me a bit sad to hear that too.

That's too long. I love it and Flanders did look good to me too, but the guys who make beer snakes would never be able to get that line out without forgetting halfway through what they were doing.

which chant? There are plenty of possibilities. In our house whenever someone makes a concentration mistake it's "Stupid sexy ..." Flanders hair is pretty epic too but the girls in the house are cheering for Richards to grow back.

He had a couple of beautiful plays. The knock down was great but I really liked him beating the double team to force a penalty. Corney showed his speed on a couple of plays. He just made one tackle look like a post. I don't like him as a kick off returner though. The problem of course is who are these plays against. Even with that I feel so excited compared this season. Can't wait for the real thing to get going.

This is the best time of the year where all the optimism is fresh and the disappointments are ahead unseen and unbidden. Richardson isn't injured for the season and Richards might actually play this year. Yippee. New recruits seem to be performing and old veterans seem to have a new start. Until the first loss.

I thought the NFL thought he was too small and green for their tastes. It might be a Cameron Wake kind of deal I guess.

Funny that people who follow basketball wouldn't look for discussion in a football forum.. There are a number of raptor specific forums out there with plenty of activity.

Sorry to bring the discussion back to this LeJean fellow and not Bowman who everyone seems to want to talk about even though he is not walking through that door. This Lejean is shorter than Bowman I think and won't have the same height advantage although there are still a lot of small db's out there. I am not sure if it was just me but he seemed to need to push off to make separation in a lot of these plays. That is not going to work so well at the next level. Also in the CFL there is a lot more space down field to see all that hand work.
