he's still, what, 24 years old!? guy has time to work on his game and develop further! are you forgetting that most QB's in this league toil on the PR or in a 3rd string roll for several years before even getting an opportunity? Just to say that he's never going to have the ability to be a starting QB is pretty closed minded. I bet he's going to work his butt off this offseason at becoming more of a complete QB and not just a run option guy!

2019-20 Grey Cup Champs Off-season discussion.
trueBlue83 replied to Wanna-B-Fanboy's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
100% agree... for a guy who didn't have the strongest arm to begin with, you've gotta wonder what kind of zip he'll have on the ball coming back from this. Couple that with his lack of mobility, and you've got some serious concerns to contend with. I know a lot of people in the organization and fans love Nichols, and he's a great team guy, but you can't ignore these issues. May be best just to move on and start developing the next QB. I don't think we can afford to throw big starter money at a QB who put up mediocre numbers the last 3 seasons and is coming off a major injury to his throwing arm. Sure, you can bring him back and cut him in camp if you see the regression, but I have a feeling he's due a bonus here at the end of his contract that, if they're going to cut ties, would do it before that money was due. Some would call it classless (if that's in fact the scenario), but when we'll be right tight up against the cap, it's just business at this point. -
Milt wouldn't accept one.... doubt Brown would either. You have to actually win one to have it mean anything. The gesture would be nice, but neither of those guys (if accepted) would ever put it on, I'm pretty sure of that!

Oh, the difference is huge. And that makes all the difference. When Nichols feels the pressure, he can't escape and chucks it away or goes to his bread and butter, the check down. Zach showed a capability to escape pressure, and maneuver around buying time for receivers to get open. You never saw that with Nichols.

An open letter to Darian Durant
trueBlue83 replied to Eternal optimist's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I actually told a fan wearing a Durant jersey in Riderville on Saturday night that he owes us all a beer, but we'd forgive it because it led to the discovery of Streveler. He didn't know what to say, it was priceless! -
adjusted his tie and cufflinks a few too many times though and cut off circulation to his brain and throwing hand!
-
It was "I f***ing love this team", and I didn't notice it, but my dad said Wade just gave him the the dirtiest glare after he slipped that one up!

umm.... yeah. Hanging out with hundreds of other Bomber fans in the first few rows as the clock wound down, cheering and hugging people you've never met! Besides winning the actual game, when Gabe ran out on to the field and as he was about to get interviewed by CTV about to go live, I helped get a huge "DANCING GABE" chant going that went through most of his interview. No one deserved the win more than Gabe, and that was my 1A moment of the weekend!

Can see the stadium from our room, and pregame has begun! Let's go Blue!! -
buddy was just looking on StubHub.... $145 US, plus their service fee, converted, you're looking at about $230 or more. Stamps office can get you better seats for about $260 I believe.

Maybe a Winnipeg based "Walls of Jericho" ??

I was almost hoping Willie didn't win so we got the full snub for this reason exactly! -
What section? We're in Row 32 as well!

I ran in to a guy in Regina last weekend at the game.... "THIS IS THE YEAR" #19

you won't find anything behind the bench on Ticketmaster.... I believe everything between the 20's is "sold out". Facebook marketplace is where a few buddies have found decent deals. StubHub, from what I've read from others on here, will have improving deals as gameday gets closer. Doesn't seem like it's going to be a sell out! I have a contact at the Stamps office if you're serious and looking to buy right away!

you just want LeFors back!!

Streveler put up numbers similar to Nichols, but had rushing yards stacked on top of that. Passing game was limited, probably from a lack of trust to take shots down field. It seems pretty clear that LaPo has a lot of trust in Collaros' arm+brain combination!
-
on the back of Andrew Harris...to think Nichols would have had the success he did with a mediocre running back, is an argument I'd love to hear!
-
haha... well I was kind of joking, but it's in writing now! Me and the boys are in Section F! Scored some sweet seats yesterday!

107th GREY CUP - Tiger-Cats @ Blue Bombers

He should at the very least change the Display Name, and even what shows up in the Free Press to simply: Jeff H -
I've worn my White Bighill jersey to all games this season, including the season opener in BC, except last weekend, and Retro night (I can't seem to find it, but think this was the game VS Hamilton). If Retro Night was in fact VS Hamilton, I think I'll roll with the White jersey. That said, wearing Blue on the road the last couple seasons, they've been 3-0. I'm not really a superstitious person at all, but this is serious business now with this drought! I wore Blue to the 07 Grey Cup. I think White is the route to go!

If this is going to work, I will come buy you one to get you over 3!!
