Then the dynamic of the room needs to change, and LaPo should be given the reigns on offensive personnel, and especially in game changes. We know Mike won't make one, and when it's stale, something's gotta happen!

The 12-15 yard pass (19-22 when dropped back). Where the QB really has to gun it into tight coverage is where Nichols fails because he doesn't have that strong arm throw. If he did, he'd be able to move the ball for the odd first down. But he prefers the check down (109 receptions for Harris last season), and I doubt more than 3 of them were 12-15 yard throws! when he does try and squeeze it in, it's rarely on target, usually over thrown, in the receivers feet, or behind them causing a reach back catch attempt. It's tough to watch!

This is why I found it so funny a few weeks ago when Matt said "I don't really worry about the numbers". That's a guy in denial, in hopes you don't start digging too deep into his numbers.

It almost sounded at the start of the coaches show like O'Shea was open to the idea of giving Streveler some time.... but as the show went on, and he continued to defend Matt's play, it's clear he has no interest. What's funny is, he said twice that Matt threw for 325 yds last game. So he's so oblivious he doesn't actually know what his QBs (inflated due to garbage time) numbers were. Wow!

did you happen to go to High School in Redding, California with a guy named Matthew? maybe blamed the multiple choice questions for not jumping out at him?

TSN actually did a piece on this early last year.... talking about shedding the 'game manager' title (I couldn't find it in a quick search on TSN's site... but this evening I'll check my PVR and see if I can find it) , and he went on to talk about how he didn't like being coined a game manager.... blah blah blah... the whole thing was blowing smoke. To his credit, he played well for another month or so after that piece, but then began to regress. He was good when he got here, for the first part of last season, but since, has been less than adequate. It was masked by a winning record however.

"The Mob" is starting to see it for what it is... poor play, that dates back to the second half of last season. I called for him to be pulled against BC October 14th last year when he was ineffective. This was a week after a 158 yd passing performance in Hamilton. Book is out on him, and I don't think it's necessarily anything physically wrong with him right now like some are suggesting... he's always had a chip on his shoulder about not getting respect. He's proving now that he's never fully earned it (to be considered among the elite). At this point, he's setting up to be a stable backup, but never a guy who's going to come in off the bench and roar you back from behind with a bunch of points.

Which is largely aided by our QB who has the weakest arm in the CFL. Get a QB in there who can put some zip on it, on target... you'll see the receivers start to believe and make some plays!

Possibly? Not positive. But a safety doesn't have to match speed with a receiver from up near the line. Moe is a good player, but he's not being utilized properly trying to chase down players much faster than him.

Let's just assume, and rightfully so, that our defensive secondary gets lit up for 350+ again the next st two games and it's just clear that nothing's changed in 3 seasons. Who is available, and who is it that Walters might already be in quiet discussions with to take over after Banjo Bowl?

Ha... good observation. I never said they were. If Hall is going to get canned, it won't be until Sunday Sept 9th

Leggett isn't a DB, let alone should be drawing the top matchup. We need DB help fast from down south

Give me a break... we hosted a playoff game last year. The team has been competitive, but has taken large steps backwards this year. I honestly believe the talent is there, and we're close... just need a few pieces to move around, and a few new pieces coming in soon, and there's still time to right the ship!

Can't believe it?? What have you been watching? Must have been some nice Blue & Gold glasses and some Ole #15 brand koolaid on sale at the Bomber store for a price too good to refuse. hope they're stocking up on #15 paper bags too if they plan to start him at the Banjo bowl!

I've been watching Nichols closely the last several games, obviously, as I feel I've been as critical of his play as anyone. But I really noticed today that I don't think Nichols ever calls an audible. He scans the field, but never does he not like what he sees and change a play. This totally leads me to believe he can't properly read a defence anymore. He's just lost out there, and I've seen enough. as far as LaPo goes... I'm looking forward to seeing what he can cook up with Streveler behind centre. You're going to see receivers not giving up on plays, and a more stretched out passing game, not having to curl back or wait for the dump pass. As for the D... one more brutal pummelling of the secondary, and it's also time to give Hall the boot. The bye week after Banjo Bowl couldn't be timed better. Could be some big changes coming.... hopefully! This season isn't lost, but stand pat Bomber brass, and it will be, and the stadium will look as empty as ever. hard to believe some people called the Bombers 'the most exciting offence in the league' 3 weeks ago.

It almost seems like the guys don't believe in him anymore... the body language out there just looks defeated, like last game.
