  1. Last year, likely true. There was nothing behind Collaros. This year the backups are definitely better, certainly showed some promise anyway. We will run the ball more I think with Powell which should help too. But last year Gainer would have been better than the backups we had
  2. Gainer kind of reminds me of the old 1970's oline guys with the gut.
  3. I considered using different name when I opened account here. I thought screw it, might as well just be me. Makes it easier if people hate me, that way they don't have to hate 2 people.
  4. I'm just checking things out. Never know who might have go in there. Its either Kevin Glenn or Gainer, although Gaines looked good in training camp, throwing darts I hear
  5. I try to respond and converse with other teams fans on our site, so they feel welcome to post. I think it makes the site better to have outside opinions. Sometimes its trolling 101, those guys are on their own. This whole Ambrosie conspiracy thing was only a joke. I was making a joke in first post referencing the Winnipeg mafia comment. I never meant for it to go much further. No big deal to me, its all in fun. We are still gonna kick your guys asses this year, on the field, in attendance, of and definitely in merchandise sales. Probably in pee wee hockey too
  6. Have to rephrase. I have 4 and my son in law is right beside us and he has 2. I shouldn't have said I have 6, I should have said we have 6. But yes 4 tickets and a parking pass is well over 3k
  7. Would his rights stay with last team he played with? Esks?
  8. How many pee wee teams do you have? LOL. Ya I get it. We have about 12 teams I think in the SJHL, so yes about the same
  9. Yes I get that. I asked question regarding the more junior teams Manitoba has over Sask that was mentioned in the post
  10. No one sells out every game do they? Our average paid attendance is within 1500 seats of a sell out, we sell out a few times each year, not sure, never looked it up https://stats.cfldb.ca/league/cfl/attendance/2018/
  11. Paid attendance was over 28k. There was maybe 15k fans at game. Thursday night exhibition game. I'm not too worried about it. 4 of my 6 seats were empty
  12. What junior teams does Manitoba have? Wheat Kings and the new one in Winnipeg. Sask has Swift Current, Moose Jaw, Saskatoon, Regina, Prince Albert
  13. No I don't. I've read a few articles over the years that mention it. Either way, the Riders sell more than anyone else by a enormous margin. If no one here wants to admit or acknowledge that, who cares. Doesn't matter to me. I see a ton of responses, too many to respond to. LOL I just get a free beer for the post count.
  14. Not sure if you are uniformed or being funny. The Riders sell more merchandise than the rest of the league combined, and more than all the NHL teams in Canada, except the Leafs and Habs. Yes more than your precious Jets too. So yes, paying coaches isn't a problem
  15. When did I mention he colluded with them? You guys complain non stop about the league catering to the Riders, maybe we should appoint Jim Hopson as next commissioner. Then we will change the salary cap for coaches and management to a number than works for the Riders. Who cares if it doesn't work for others or isn't good for the league as a whole..
  16. The Riders said they would support it, why would we push it when we have unlimited amount of money to spend. Riders have paid the most for coaches for years. We have had out financial struggles in the past, I'm sure we realized it was probably a necessary thing
  17. I don't know why people take things so seriously. I'm very serious about my Riders but its just a game. I have more important things in my life than the Riders. Family, kids, work.
  18. Its what I do. I should have been a boy scout troop leader or something. Its a discussion board, there is nothing wrong with discussion is there? People are allowed to debate things aren't they?
  19. OK. Just so this can be at a conclusion. In your opinion, do you think its possible that fans of another team either the most effected or certainly one of the most effected, would make comments regarding the team least effected when the commissioner is from same city? When the cap number set out was already compliant with said cities team?. Not saying its right or wrong, not saying its true or false. Just saying is it possible that a comment may be made regarding that? We both know the answer to that. Its odd that many are jumping on me about this when its easy to see where said opinion and comments would be directed if shoe was on other foot. Wasn't looking for argument, my post was actually a joke response to the mafia comment. It just took on a life of its own from there.
  20. I don't hate the Bombers first of all. I commented on the cap for coaches and obviously its a sensitive issue with some of you. Fact remains the Bombers were under the number set out by the league. I think maybe BC was but am not sure, numbers wise they were but not salary wise. You are filling in a lot of blanks and taking many leaps in your post to things I never said.
  21. who else was under the dollar figure set out by the league besides the Bombers? For the record, I didn't mind the cap, thought the number should have been higher
  22. You speak for Rider fans? I know several, being how I live here and am one who have mentioned it
  23. When coaches salary cap came in. Bombers seemed like they were fine with it when no one else seemed to be. They said they had that few coaches and they weren't paying over that amount.
  24. Where is Ambrosie from again?
