I'll be sure to wear my Durant jersey. JK, I'm watching on tv, didn't come this year
-
I'm a former hard ass too. I still a little football back and forth though. The German kicks in and I am usually game for a 3 or 4 day argument, even when I may be wrong. After all, a German is never wrong, lol.
-
You are a hard ass. That's a guy that plays d. I always figured that, was looking for confirmation.
-
OK so Bowman was equally as bad a move but doesn't get mentioned. Must be because he wasn't a Rider. Funny thing is he was many moons ago
-
Kevin Glenn, backup gone. Ekakatie, cut. Petermann hasn't exactly lit the world on fire. DJ Heath gone. No one got bent over and not sure how you could say it worked out pretty well other than you dumped his ridiculous salary on someone else
-
If 70k to Durant has you in trouble, you have bigger issues to look at. 70k is a bit above league minimum.
-
We traded for him. He was due 500k and even though we weren't in a position of strength renegotiated a lower deal with him. What is your excuse???? Drew Willy also got huge money from your current management, how did that turn out?
-
You played Defense? As a opposing fan, of course I hated him. He was a great kicker
-
Nothing Ridiculous about it. Once management clues in to his actual skill set, he will be looking at a paycut or a road map. There isn't a team in the league that would give him 450k. Trade value??? ya every team wants a 450k backup
-
I was off base there. I just remember Westwood playing around that time. It was many years later.

People sometimes forget how good someone was at their previous job when they don't do well after being promoted. That was definitely Mike Kelly's offense that lead the Bombers to a 13-5 record in 1994. They ran into a nearly unbeatable Baltimore team in East final and lost but had a good year. Was it not 1994 that Westwood started what it now known as banjo bowl with the some comments about the riders?

-
Antoine Pruneau is in his fifth season in Ottawa and has only missed one game. He has been a very good pick. Always nice to have a Canadian safety.
-
Muamba, Heenan was a starter right away which lead to Neufeld being traded to the Bombers
-
He was the first overall pick in 2016 cfl draft. Still kicking around with us but has never lived up to the hype. I was agreeing with you
-
Josiah St John says hi.
-
When Harris got hurt late against the Stamps, I couldn't help wonder why the hell was he on the field at that point
-
What's your definition of recently? Collaros is 4-1-1 this year. Game was tied against Ottawa when he got hurt, so basically one loss in Edmonton for him. Nichols has 5 int's in last 3 games, is that recently enough for you. Its not the 166 passing that is killing you guys, its the 5 picks and 9 sacks that are a bit concerning I would think. Every qb is one shot away from being done aren't they? I wouldn't suggest Nichols is very durable either. In any event, I'm sure we could argue this for days. Much like myself, I don't see you giving a inch either. Lets agree to disagree.

Classic riders playing down to the competition that day. Big coaching mistake by Jones, he let his emotions get in the way of common sense and solid player management. He was pissy at Bridge for some reason so he pulled him out that game, it cost us the win. As far as Carter, he is likely the most talented receiver in the league, he has eaten a lot of peoples lunches. But ask Andrew Harris if one player can win a game for a team that is not doing its part to help. Knox will be the big addition in Toronto, not Carter. Woods and Knox will shore the run game, a place where Toronto has been bad.

1. I never said we had a superior qb, not once. Collaros needs to not turn the ball over and see if he can generate 20 points or so, that all we need from him. Of course it won't last, that's the reason I have been wanting Macadoo fired for the last 3 years, and still do. Our offense is improving every week so hopefully that continues. Nichols stats are not irrelevant, they show how run dependant you guys are. Its called one dimensional, the only time Nichols gets any decent numbers is when he hits a couple long ones to Adams. That makes his number look better on the outside but it doesn't really change anything if a person is paying closer attention to the breakdown of where his passes are thrown. 2. Collaros getting hurt in Ottawa game wasn't a excuse, it was exactly what happened. We were also in bad shape with injuries in the secondary. Both have changed, that and us being at home is the reason why I like our chances. As far as backups, no question yours is better. Schreveler looks dam good from what I have seen so far. 3. Of course its my opinion, what else would I post. I could be totally out to lunch. Predictions are nothing more than a guess. We aren't necessarily in drivers seat, but don't tell me you wouldn't want to switch schedules with us, have a game in hand, and have the first win in our season series.

Too bad you can't play Toronto and Hamilton all year
-
Changing the subject to talk about the Riders doesn't make your schedule any easier. I'll play along. Nichols had 166 passing and 2 ints and we were lucky to win?, you aren't beating anyone with qb'ing like that, no matter how much Harris does. Montreal beat us with a backup qb playing. Ottawa beat us in Ottawa after Collaros got hurt and our back up was in, we have them at home now with Collaros playing, I like our chances. Ottawa pounded you guys with Nichols playing and now you will go into Ottawa and win, nope. You will split with Riders with Schreveler playing second game. You will beat Montreal and split with Edmonton. That's 3. A possible 4th might be if BC lays down because they are out of the hunt. I am not even sure you will split with Edmonton, I could see Reilly lighting you up. You lose this week and it worry time. We have game in hard so even if you win, we just beat Ottawa next week and we are back in a tie with you. Your season is hanging in the balance of whether or Nichols can do anything against a actual team above 500. Riders have beat teams with winning records, you have not. You can't just play eastern teams all year, its put up time for Nichols against the west teams. Look for Schreveler to start against Montreal coming out the bye week, this is a hunch
-
I agree it is doable, get on a roll and things can happen. I think it will be tough
-
Don't take this the wrong way, but you got a tough schedule down the stretch. Road game in Ottawa. Edmonton is a tough road game for any team and you go there twice. I see you winning 3 more games
-
I am not turning the knife. I am not posting what I really think about Nichols. I think some here are really bothered by the fact that a lot of things I have said in previous arguments here may be a lot more true than some want to admit or face up to. There is nothing in what I said that is gloating. If you took it that way, oh well. As far as the HC comments, I think it is a fair point. Our own HC Jones surrounded himself with yes men and doesn't have a replacement on his own staff so i obviously wasn't talking about the Riders.
