One of the former Linemen in question is running the league now
-
That's what I was getting at. It was a misguided attempt at humor
-
Considering almost every player already has a university degree, its nice that the new league will actually teach them how to read and write
-
Easy now there cowboy. I have also visited Winnipeg. We doctor there with my son. It has its moments in certain areas

Statement game. Dam tough to beat anyone two weeks in a row. I like the I took your lunch money and I'm coming back to do it again next week however. BC is not a good team but it still means a lot to sweep them
-
Jail time doesn't scare us. We are building a dynasty here
-
Best way to beat Edmonton is to keep Reilly off the field. A team that successfully runs the ball can do that by controlling the clock.

Here is a hypothetical. If Bighill is starting the opposition may approach things differently then if Hurl was there. So even though Bighill makes the defense better as a whole, he may not see as many plays coming his way as Hurl would, so his individual effort may be different in the grand scheme of things. Lets look at the Riders, teams were going after Carter on the corner because he is the weak link in a pretty dam good defense. We moved him from boundary this week so the Cats couldn't exploit it and we saw results on the scoreboard. Carter didn't play any better but things were different. Nichols doesn't run with the ball, so schreveler offered something different for Edmonton to worry about. Had Nichols played, things would have been different, and yes he is a better qb, but that doesn't guarantee you would have won. Edmonton would be doing what teams usually do against the Bombers, take Harris out of game and make Nichols beat you deep. It may or may not have worked. I agree Nichols gives you a better chance but don't agree that results would be totally different by just changing one player. Its a team game

I am very concerned about our offense. Macadoo needs to be fired right away. He just won't run the ball or call any dump plays to help these young qb's out. He drives me nuts
-
As far as us. We need some resemblance of a offense or it will be a long year. Pretty happy with how our defense has played so far. As far as Bombers go, I know you are very knowledgeable about football. Changing one player doesn't change everything. Its impossible to say that. Maybe Nichols doesn't throw the 2 INT's that your rookie did? I like your chances better with Nichols playing that's for sure. Its a bit hypocritical to say that you would have won with your starter playing but then laugh at the Riders even though our starter is hurt too. You don't think we would have beat Montreal if Collaros was playing?? I get it that this is a Bomber site, but lets be a bit objective
-
I think you have a solid team. A team that doesn't make a lot of mistakes and is well coached. Your defense is going to have to be a lot better against the "good teams" for you to be a cup contender.
-
4-0. You have lots of rum in the koolaid today. I'll be watching to see you guys go undefeated the rest of the way, now that Nichols is back and all. I guess you are planning on outscoring everyone. Your defense gave up almost 1000 yards in your two loses
-
What a coincidence that these are your two wins.. Riders are a surprise to you, we should be 3-1
-
they sure do.. I was there
-
Whatever makes you feel better.
-
Do you mean the Hamilton team that hung 470 yards of offense against you?
-
Don't pull out the thinking fan card, to imply that disagreeing with you equates a lack of knowledge of the game. The NFL brought in rules to specifically protect players in situations like this. You cannot hit a player when he is in a vulnerable position and unable to defend himself. He was wrapped up before Law hit him. The intention may not have been to hurt him, but he was clearly in a vulnerable position, and Law seized the chance to hit him. These are the hits that need to be minimized in the game. I have no dog in this fight. I hate to see qb's taking these hits. I guarantee you would feel a hell of a lot different if Nichols took that hit. If MItchell took that hit the friggin league would shut down to investigate
-
I guess the definition of dirty varies when its your qb that got hit, doesn't it?
-
Run Forrest Run...
-
Absolutely, don't give anyone any chalk board material. Don't say their receivers suck and are easy to cover or anything like that
-
Watch the replay. Ray was wrapped up before Law decided to hit him, plain and simple
-
IMHO, Ray was in vulnerable position and clearly on his way to the ground when Law stepped in there. Its a dirty shot as far as I am concerned
-
I wouldn't mind having Reilly on our team if that's what you mean. We could use the depth in the secondary
-
That Edmonton team wasn't that great and still isn't. They have QB who will win at any cost. I hate the Esks, but Reilly is the league MVP hands down
-
Yup. He doesn't think you need to run the ball or throw a screen pass. His slow developing plays always hang the oline out to dry
