  1. Oh no you don't. You have to keep him now, forever.
  2. I guess I never paid attention to where he came from when he arrived at camp. I just assumed we brought him in from the USA somewhere. I'm sorry, I was wrong
  3. Murphy/ Jones brought Bennett into the league. He was a training camp cut a year ago
  4. I always liked Ritchie Hall, but wasn't sorry to see him go
  5. Halls defense works when pressure comes from up front. The innocent bystander defence. Wait and see what happens. The secondary comes up with turnovers because they are all facing the qb watching the play. When there is no pressure they get lit up
  6. Judge has been there and played well, in between injuries. The guy looks like a bandaid and bad draft pick. Hoping to be wrong
  7. I was simply referring to Hall being too nice to make the tough calls
  8. He is a Tom Higgins type ( this is very high compliment from me, because I have a ton of respect for higgy). Lapo doesn't have the stones to make the tough calls. Would Lapo have cut Rob Bagg today? Lapo is great at what he does, and should stick with that. Ironically looking at your staff, same goes for Ritchie Hall
  9. Bond must have found the same buffet restaurant in Regina that put Dennis about 100 lbs over weight and slow when he was here. Haven't missed you for a second Derek. He was so slow we had to move him from tackle to guard. Trouble was we were paying him starting LT money
  10. He is a great coach and is very realistic with his play calls.
  11. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. I think what doesn't get enough air time in Winnipeg is how bad you were before Lapolice. Lapo is smart and set something up that Nichols could run. Conservative, low risk and consistent game plan.
  12. And we could send you guys one too
  13. You guys totally play a dump and run offense. That is a system a young qb can run. You aren't in as bad of shape without Nichols as many think IMHO. If Harris gets hurt, then I would be very worried, the qb however is interchangeable.
  14. I agree. As far as Durant, there is the obvious pride thing. I'd rather lose every game all year than ask a guy to come back after bad blood like there has been, both ways. Secondly Durant wasn't at camp, doesn't know offense, would be lost coming in there, likely out of shape. Not gaining anything there. Glenn would know the offense to certain extent, he would make sense but isn't available. If I was sure its just 4 games, I'd roll with what you have. I hope Nichols is ok and gets back out there soon
  15. To me, sounds like more that Adams asked to be traded than there is actually a interested market for him
  16. That's just solid football ops. You don't help a divisional rival that you will be fighting for a playoff spot with
  17. Doesn't the wife wear the pants in every house..
  18. Collaros is obviously nothing to worry about for you then. I guess we will see how the season unfolds
  19. Plop had cushy job at TSN, I'm sure he was willing to walk away for a low wage. I'm sure he was promised MOS's job, who was probably one or two more loses away from getting run out of town
  20. Says the guy who's team won 4 games by 3 points or less
  21. Its not big talk, its just talk. I don't relentlessly bash any team in the league because I know we could win or lose against any of them. To listen to you talk about the Riders, I can't help but wonder how you feel about your own team when we beat you. The Riders are as good as any team in the league, no better, no worse. We will be in the hunt this year. You have us 2 out of 3 in Winnipeg so that helps, but I still don't see a sweep happening
  22. Imagine how embarrassing it must be to lose against a team like the Riders? I'll check in with you later so you can fill me in
  23. I'm sure Paul Lapolice isn't getting paid much hey? Popp and Trestman are making 1.2 million, so the 750 for Jones is a deal. With this cap in place, likely we will see more people doing both jobs to save money
  24. Fielding a coaching staff for 2.7 million will have its challenges. Anything that takes away from the leagues ability to attract good coaches and scouts is not a good thing. Trying to think of any sports league that caps the coaches salaries. Who thought of this, Trudeau?
