  1. If he is winning consistently he will not be moved. If he is sputtering during games he will be swapped out here and there. If he flat out sucks he will sit. I think basically he starts the year in number one spot and its his to lose. For the record, I am not a big fan of Glenn's. I do however believe you don't need Tom Brady to win football games. Are we a cup contender with Glenn at the helm, no one believes that other than a few crazies.
  2. I'm not sure Young will make it out of camp. For the record, signing Young in the first place was a dumb move. Bennett will be the backup I think so you guys will get to see what you missed out on. He is very mobile and moves around good, I'm interested to see him play next week
  3. Some good points here and I agree. The only one I disagree with is how Glenn's season will go, he will do fine in his starts. He will ****** a defeat out of the jaws of a victory some where along the way with a pick 6 but overall his numbers will be good and our record will be better. The last two seasons our defense has been embarrassing to say the least. I believe our defense will be better and that will help us win some games.
  4. Do you honestly think we don't know what we have in Glenn? The question is can we win games with him at qb. We can and will. Kevin Glenn is not anyone's first choice including ours. He signed the contract that DD wouldn't, to be the starter and move to backup later on, which he will do
  5. I agree. I think Nichols has more upside. He took a big step forward last year. Conventional thinking would suggest he keeps going this year and hopefully even takes another step forward to higher level. he has had a entire offseason to actually plan as being the starter, something he hasn't had in a long time. I would love to see him play well( except against us). I have never said I was a huge Glenn fan. ALL I have said is the two are very similar at this point. Both have had INT issues in the past. Both have done well when they have had a good team around them and they weren't expected to be the savior. I guess I am defending the point that some here seem so sure Glenn will be a huge failure this year. I don't see that happening. He will do well in our quick read offense where he doesn't have to hang onto the ball too long. We have a lot better receiving core than many here want to admit, that will be a huge asset. Are we on the verge of winning the cup this year? of course not, but Glenn is a stop gap to get us through and keep us competitive in the mean time. That he will do
  6. You kind of blew that argument as the Bombers clearly had a better team last year. That didn't help Nichols record at all when you guys were a INT machine on defense? I think we both know it did. What Nichols did do well is not lose games for you.
  7. I like the Bombers so that's out the window. I hope you do well and I follow the team as close as most people who are fans. I have no fear of success. What the Bombers do has nothing to do with whether the Riders are better are not
  8. Nichols had several starts to grab the job and you know it. He couldn't so they moved on. Nice problem to have I guess.
  9. First of all I never said he was better. Second of all he came in mid-season and didn't know the offense. I'm not the one insisting anyone is better than anyone. I see them fairly equal in my mind
  10. Nichols did a great job last year not turning the ball over and playing within himself. No question about it. But Matt has had his troubles with untimely INT's in his career, in fact that's what made him expendable in Edmonton. I like where the Bombers are at and am happy for you guys, but to say Nichols is night and day better that Glenn is simply not true and the numbers show it. if the 2016 Nichols shows up you will have a good season
  11. 2015. Glenn 241/game average . 2016 Glenn 283/game average. 2015 Nichols 219/ game average. 2016 244/ game average. I've heard this twice today from you guys. Look at the numbers and tell me Nichols is night and day better.
  12. So 3 different Riders fans then speak for the fan base?
  13. Hope DD is ok and gets back on the field. I am glad our season isn't hanging in the balance anymore. Saw that movie... Twice
  14. I know you wouldn't sign him and I am glad about that. I guess that was a bit of a unfounded comment by me. I was in defense mode so I fired a scud by accident. Friendly fire incident
  15. Apparently this douchbag has another trial in Mississippi also in July/2017 for more charges from a different incident. His career is over
  16. Arielle Zerr @arielle_zerr Chris Jones says no matter what the league decides on his ban Justin Cox will not be back with the #Riders.
  17. We are planning on doing that very thing. See you there
  18. Jones says Cox will not be rejoining the team. As a matter of principle. Now you guys can sign him and take back all the stuff you have said and be all giddy your selves
  19. Glenn has been durable over his career. Glenn signed the contract that Durant wouldn't, to be the mentor and future backup. Durant got a offer from the team, he was not run out of town. Durant wanted his money and to be the starter, he got both in Montreal. Glenn will start out of the gate and we will go from there.
  20. I agree with most of this. Glenn will have time behind the line and does have great receivers. Will he lead us to the cup, nope. Is he going to have a good year, absolutely.
  21. I agree 100% that DD should have been gone right away when Jones took over to not have this drag out, if that's what he wanted anyway. Personally I would have kept DD one more year also. I never said our defense would be great, but it will be better. Oline will be better. Running game will be better. We will win more than 5 games, I'll stick with the 8 I predicted. You don't have to have Bo Levi Mitchell to win 8-10 games, good example is Nichols. Bombers won 11 games with a coach that was likely one more loss from getting fired(my opinion) at the time. Glenn is consistent in there and you know it, he also has a great group of receivers to throw too, arguably the best in the league (my opinion). I feel our record will be better than last year, even though many here are hoping it is not.
  22. Letting Durant go was a screw up? Its funny you like him now, you bashed him relentlessly when he played for us. Secondly our record this year will dictate whether it was a mistake or not. I know its fun laughing at the Riders for you, its in every post you make, but we are going to be a lot better this year on defense and that will show in our record.
  23. You are seeing now, in between Collaros's trips to the tub. Do you think a time will come anytime soon to move on from him?
