  1. What I mean is, couldn't be worse than where Leone is at today, at this moment. Struggling terribly heading into the playoffs.
  2. I think its probably a good move for Wally to make. McCallum couldn't be any worse than what they got now
  3. I won't let my disagreements with you cloud my judgement. Hamilton has stood by their team well over the years. Hamilton is also about 500k and has a small stadium of 24k seats, so selling it out is not a monumental task. Nonetheless good on the Cat's fans for supporting your team. As far as you are concerned with your constant cheap shot attempts at my Riders, I'm proud of our attendance this year considering the off and on gong show we have had going at times. You can take your shots if you want, but over 30k tickets were sold last week, 6k more than your sell out you are so proud of to watch a team that has missed the playoff's 2 years in a row. Good luck in the playoff's, I wish we were in there, maybe next year..
  4. Durant has showed over his career that he can play more than 6 games in a row without getting a owie...
  5. Game was pretty much sold out so nice try. Shouldn't you be more worried about how many games Collaros plays before he is back in the tub?
  6. I think I've been in Paddy's corner longer than I should have been. Time to cut bait there I think..
  7. Adams plays ASAP. Gurley sits. Hasn't been there long enough to have a good handle on the playbook anyway. easy decision. I agree with Mike, get him in there
  8. We definitely didn't look good this weekend. Still believe we at least split
  9. I disagree. Heartbreaking losing the cup. I'd rather not be in the game than lose it. Obviously there are no guarantees so the team needs to just win when ever they can. I'm speaking from the fan perspective only. One key point though for the team, a cup loss gives them fire for the next season.
  10. Its all meaningless if you don't win the cup, that is the goal.... After that its just degree's of losing isn't it? trying to get going in the right direction to head into next year on a good note is not all for not in my books
  11. We are playing better and I do not see BC winning in the final game at Mosaic
  12. Lions are not sweeping us. Split at worst or we win both. Book it
  13. Kind of ticked me off that Ken Stabler couldn't have been recognized while he was alive. I have a suspicion major league baseball will do the same to Rose.
  14. I'll dig it out and look at it today. I know it has Neilson, Hedberg, and Hull. I thought the goalie on it was Bromley. Can't remember off top of my head. It was autographed already when I won it and that night Bobby Hull signed to top again.
  15. Was thinking with the winter classic coming up. I have a hockey stick I won as a child that is autographed by the entire 1978 Winnipeg jets team. Won tickets to a Bobby Hull dinner in Edmonton at a Oil Kings game. Went with my brother and dad. Then at the dinner won the stick in a raffle. My dad took some picture of me sitting on Bobby Hull's lap with the stick. I was 8 years old. I've had the stick varnished and kept in my gun rack for almost 40 years. have thought about selling it, but don't know what it would be worth or if I could even part with it.
  16. For the record, not all Green guys are in favor of this. I don't want it changed even thought the eastern teams suck this year. That won't always be the case. As far as us, its our own fault we took half a season off before we decided to win a few. We are where we deserve to be, outside looking in.
  17. True that. That's why I ask, need to limit the names going up if numbers are being retired. Also believe it means more when its less names on the list. Other than our 4 players killed in plane crash in 1956 we have only retired 4 numbers. I like it that way to be honest. Saskatchewan Roughriders retired numbers No. Player Position Tenure Championships 23 Ron Lancaster QB 1963–1978 1966 34 George Reed RB 1963–1975 1966 36 Dave Ridgway K 1982–1995 1989 40 Mel Becket TE/C 1952–1956 – 44 Roger Aldag OL 1976–1992 1989 55 Mario DeMarco OL 1953–1956 – 56 Ray Syrnyk OL 1956 – 73 Gordon Sturtridge DE 1953–1956
  18. Do the Bombers retire the numbers of the guys when they go up on the wall?
  19. Being Canadian is just the icing on the cake, but Loffler has been very good out there. Never mind the stats, he has thrown some big hits also and is making a name for himself. I'm not sure what CFL rookie is going to beat him to win it, I can't think of one.
  20. Doug Brown was consistent. That's the biggest thing I remember about him. Very good at occupying space in the middle, a constant force caving in the pocket. Putting up 40-50 tackle seasons consistently. Never took a play off no matter what the score was. Definitely one of my favorite Bombers that I have watched play. Met him once in Regina in the elevator at the hotel where we were both staying. Big guy and was nice enough to take the time to take a picture with my son which I appreciated. Well deserved honor for you Doug . Congrats.
  21. Nope. I was kind of planning 18-0 and grey cup champions, like I do every year. LOL
  22. That's not really what we have planned for next year. But you never know how things will turn out
