  1. We intercepted the ball, the defense didn't have to tighten up. I agree that one play doesn't make a game however, but there are definitely certain plays that hurt bad, that was one of them. The McDuffie td was the other.
  2. People have different opinions on it I guess. Milt Stegall thought it was a bad call. Who cares who thought what. The call stands and you won the game. I didn't like the call
  3. I'm super critical of Jones and have been all year. I'm not a **** when we win and not a baby when we lose. Just not going to put up with flat out made up BS that people post just to pile on. I'm surprised how chirpy some of you guys are. Squeaked out a win against the worst team in the league aided by some calls by the refs. Good job. Nichols again couldn't score when it mattered, just lucky things worked out the way they did. A win is a win, so full credit for winning today.
  4. You are right. No sense in expecting the refs to make the correct call on the field, we should have had a challenge ready.
  5. I agree. For the record I am not a fan of Rod Pederson either, but he isn't associated with a National tv station so he doesn't have to be objective in the same way that Lawless does/ should.
  6. Not sure if this is hard for some of you to understand but one is a reporter for TSN, a national sports channel and the other is a radio guy for a local radio station. Big difference
  7. Agree with a lot that you have said. You know as well as I do that as the clock ticks down that a late call can decide a game. That late PI call on Dressler that took the ball away from the Riders was a back breaker? Yes or NO?
  8. Fans after a loss have a tendency to be pissed off. I wouldn't expect any Bomber fans to have any problem with either pass interference call involving Dressler but wouldn't be a big stretch to imagine that some Rider fans might have a problem with it. That late call was a big one.
  9. Feel free to not bother going there again if it is so concerning to you...
  10. This sums up Lawless's career, a Bomber fan through and through
  11. Reading your post cheered me up a bit. What I'm thinking is we get a beating today and the streak is over
  12. He is a big body in the middle. Was on and off roster twice with injuries, shoulder, isn't overly fast but I definitely would have kept him here longer than we did
  13. Of course it was, but there is a little truth in every joke isn't there?
  14. Doesn't sound like the big bad commissioner is planning on doing anything about it. Probably has his henchmen working new ways to fine the Riders over this
  15. TORONTO — The Canadian Football League has issued a statement regarding the recent signing of Khalif Mitchell by the Saskatchewan Roughriders. On Thursday, Commissioner Jeffrey L. Orridge stated the following: There is absolutely no place in our league for commentary used to divide or disparage people on the basis of their religion, race, gender or sexual orientation. Such commentary not only may bring the CFL into disrepute; it can promote hate today and dishonour all those who have been subjected to hate over the course of history. Our social media policy expressly prohibits a current player, team or league employee from using social media, including the retweeting or reposting of someone else’s comments, to condone discrimination, harassment or violence. This is why in May, 2015, this league fined Khalif Mitchell, then in the employ of a CFL club, for violating our policy. It is also why, at that time, our office helped broker a meeting for him with a representative of B’Nai Brith Canada, to facilitate his education on human rights matters. Since Mitchell has now returned to our league, with another club, his new employer has reached out to the league office to assure us they too take this matter very seriously and any such inappropriate behaviour from Mitchell will result in his immediate dismissal. We too will monitor any commentary he may make as a member of our League. We fully acknowledge that our employees, including our players, have a right to hold and express opinions. But in absolutely no circumstance do we condone activity or comments that are derogatory or inappropriate. Such comments, which put the League’s reputation as a progressive and positive member of the community in question, will not be tolerated.
  16. I meant why not as a joke. Our defense couldn't be much worse..
  17. No one is behind it. We are just hoping he isn't going to be a idiot while here and can play ball and help the team. I've have not read one post that says anyone wanted to bring him in.
  18. Look at the string of field goals last week, I believe it was 4. That game should have been a absolute shyt kicking if you guys could have put the ball in the endzone. The most important thing is the boys believe in Nichols and he isn't making mistakes and is WINNING. That goes along way. As a Rider fan I am hoping Nichols continues to struggle scoring and we can win because of it. Because if you guys ever get that straightened out you aren't going to be much fun to play against this year for anyone.
  19. Its because you are winning and that trumps everything. When you lose those missed chances will be front and center. Last week you guys only scored one offensive td, a late running play by Harris. The Bomber are a qb away from being a really good team.
  20. I'll go with buddy, being how one of them is a large black man and the other a small white man
