  1. Elbow on Banjo Bowl cheap shot and Leg last year.
  2. I agree. From what I read he had a good training camp. My theory is with the way the JSJ ordeal played out, Mckay became expendable. Had St John came to camp and performed, maybe he would be starting at Tackle. Then Mckay would still be here in backup/ development role. My opinion is that it was a mistake giving up on him so quickly, and that Chris Jones wanted the roster spot for his Eskimo buddy Andrew Jones, who has been horrible to say the least this year.
  3. DD has only had 2 serious injuries, unfortunately back to back. In the seven seasons prior to that as a starter he had only missed 3 games. Your DD is a bandaid theory doesn't hold water. Collaros is in his 3rd year as a starter and has suffered a torn ACL. Not here trying to put down Zack, he is a great player but he hasn't been able to play more than 13 games in a row so far so I guess we'll see how many he plays this time.
  4. He just came back from a torn ACL Mike, far healthier is a bit of a stretch wouldn't you say?
  5. I enjoy a good discussion about football. Just because my opinion doesn't jive with yours doesn't mean you get to pull out the green glasses card. Ok then, trading Durant for Jennings? No way, Jennings hasn't proven he can win the big games and lead a team on a cup run. This kind of thinking is what got you guys Willy at 411k/ year. He hasn't earned the respect IMO. Harris, dido, his own team let him go in favor of the proven leader in Ray, enough said. Collaros is very good but has only played 18 games once in his career, his best season ever is 3376 yards passing. Zack also needs to start being on the field for the whole year if he wants to be a franchise qb. Collaros is very good as I said, but can he stay healthy and lead a team to the big game, I think he probably can but hasn't yet, hence why I said it could still be debated. Not going to say much about Mitchell or Reilly, both very good and have proven they can get it done when it matters most. I've always been a big fan of Ricky Ray and have stated many times he is the best qb to play in the league in many years, he is smart and is a winner, and that is exactly why Barker let Harris walk because he knows Ray can lead them back to the cup. As far as Durant goes, hey you guys can say whatever you want but he is still very elite, just set cfl record this year for completions without a INT at 323, broke old record by around 50 on a horrible team.
  6. I like some of the things Jennings is doing. I agree coming along but not quite in the conversation yet as one of the better qb's in league
  7. The Bombers would bring Durant in as a backup?? Ok, not much sense discussing this with you any further. The Bombers would be scary this year with doubles at the helm. Your ultimate undoing this year will be not having a qb. BC also sitting with a good team and no legit QB. Durant also would be awesome there. Anyway, I`ll respect your opinion even though I strongly disagree with it.
  8. Mitchell is likely the best qb in the league at the moment. Reilly and likely Collaros but he is debatable. So IMHO there are 2 for sure guys that start ahead of Durant at this moment. A good argument could be made that there is 3, or possibily 4 depending how one feels about Ray. . But Jennings? Harris? You don't know what you are talking about man.
  9. Name 5 qbs that start ahead of Durant. This should be good.. Bit off more than you can chew with that comment
  10. We might have to cut back Brett Favre's and a few others pay on the taxi squad but we can make it work.
  11. Wait just a minute mister....
  12. Yup. We got you right where we want you....
  13. LOL.. Don't compare Willy to Durant unless you are joking. Muamba is a little better than Kohlert also wouldn't you say. If Willy was going to be the starter maybe you would have a argument. I would think we can all agree that Muamba is a very good player and no one would trade him for a backup qb making huge money.
  14. I'm not enjoying the trash talk as much this year being how we are trash ourselves on the field. But I'm trying.
  15. sold-out you mean?
  16. Game was in Edmonton but nice try. Is everyone supposed to go sit at Taylor field and listen to the game on the radio when we play on the road?
  17. Yup. he is a good pick up for them
  18. I'll agree about Hardrick, always liked him, but you guys weren't running the ball earlier because in games you were losing by halftime. Teams tend to go away from running the ball when losing. You are running the ball more now because you are either winning or very close in games. It opens the playbook up a lot. Sports is very much a streaky psychological thing. The Bombers are playing with a lot of heart and are not afraid of making a mistake out there. What's changed? MOS is all the sudden a better coach than the one you guys wanted fired 5 weeks ago? Nichols is what's changed.
  19. I agree that Willy is more talented than Nichols. You can't however switch players and expect the same results. Whether anyone likes it or not, the team believes in Nichols and is rallying around him. He isn't forcing it and isn't turning the ball over. He isn't hanging on to the ball too long. A lot easier to block for someone like that and I believe that is why the Oline all the sudden is night and day better. They know they only have to block for a few seconds and the ball will be gone which leads to less holding calls. Lapolice is calling plays that see Nichols being successful. The team believes Nichols will keep them in it and give them a chance to win, and it is infectious. Doesn't mean Willy will never play again but at this point Nichols took Drew's lunch money and his job and is making the most of it. It is my opinion that all the other facets of the team are playing better because Nichols is in there.
  20. Who is lumping people in? Pederson is not a journalist, he is a radio personality for the Riders. What he writes is not intended to be open minded. He represents the Riders and what is good for the Riders. Lawless works for TSN, its a little different.
  21. Only posting my opinion. I just don't always believe Lawless, he always bashes the Riders every chance he gets. He is a pegger and always pumps the Bombers tires whenever he can too
  22. Mike, come on. I like Drew and have been in his corner the whole time. He is making a lot of money for a guy who has basically been replaced. Would teams maybe be interested, possibly, but no way at that kind of money. I also think betting the farm on Nichols the rest of the way is a huge mistake for the Bombers. I'm not insisting that he could not be moved. I see it very unlikely, and see it as foolish to even consider. I can't believe honestly that anyone thinks teams would be in hurry to take on that salary. For half of that, he could get moved. On the other hand, for half of that why would the Bombers want to move him at all.. Only reason you are even talking about it is because of his salary, which is the very reason why other teams would be Leary.
  23. Muamba is a national starter, not a backup qb. Huge difference
  24. Lawless is smoking crack if he thinks anyone is interested in 411k for Willy.
  25. So what are you saying? You think the Bombers snap 11 straight labor day losses in a row this year? The Liberals were in government last time you won here so I guess that's a positive this year. Bomber defense has been awesome last four games, offense beyond Harris, not so much. Theoretically no reason for the Bombers not to win this year, actually they should sweep the series TBH. I still don't see that happening.
