BC Lions @ SaskJones Implosions (preseason game)

I wouldn't be a hurry to trade Nichols, he'll be your starter pretty quick if you don't get that mess on the OLine cleaned up. -
Highly doubt either will be a starter
-
I could be totally wrong Mike, I might be totally out to lunch. That's the great thing about sports and sports rivalries, its fun to speculate about how the season will go. I see our defense middle of the pack or better this year.
-
Same coach. Nothing is fixed. I am however a big fan of Westerman's talent, he is a great player. I have zero doubt by season end however that the Riders will have more sacks than the Bombers. Ritchies Hall defense doesn't work without a big pass rush up front as evidenced by last year for you guys. Shologan will help but I still see our front 7 stronger than yours and the stats this year will show that.

We haven't addressed our dline? Capicotti, Lemon, Norwood, Newsome. Partly yes in regards to Jones, we made a change to coach to have better results and based on some history, better results are expected.

Our secondary is atrocious? That is the where the pendulum swings in our favor Mike. Might want to have a little closer look at your secondary Mike. Kevin Glenn had zero problem moving the ball last week. And your defense was second worse last year, better only than ours which was bad. I'll be watching your secondary tonight to see how they look against better qb's . Bombers were also not good against the run last year so not sure what you are watching in your linebackers either. None of our Linebackers are rookies, assuming Knox gets back in there. Our atrocious secondary and defense gave up 11 first downs against a lot better offense than you faced when u gave up almost 300 yards of offense and 23 first downs. I'm not here to bash the Bombers, but I am realistic and can see what I see. You guys didn't score much against montreal's starters either and then later looked better against the backups. Tonight is a far more realistic look at your team, Burris and co. will push your secondary a lot more and for a lot longer than last week. Montreal called off the dogs early because they had 6 qb's dressed.

Its not a hold out when you get what you want. LOL

Don't kid yourself for a second, if Willy goes down you are in trouble. Nichols isn't going to lead you into a playoff spot. BC has good qb depth and a defence as good as yours or better. As far as Riders go, Durant is better than Willy and our defence is better than yours. It will be a dogfight for sure. But hey, keep writing us off, I like the underdog role.

I believe Chiles and Roosevelt come out of camp 1A and 1B, in no particular order. I do believe Roosevelt is a clear number one by end of season. -

That's probably a fair statement. Every team's fans push their players to where they would like them to be moreso than where they really are sometimes. -

Health of key players is always something to worry about for any team including yours. Willy has been hurt, Smith has had two concussions, the list goes on. Vey few players can say they have never been injured in some way. And every player is one play away from never playing football ever again. -

I always get a kick out people getting overly wound up in the pre season. Denmark played pretty good, and he needed to. He is in a battle to even make the team. His veteran status will likely get him on roster. Healthy at QB? You guys should worry about whether or not your Oline is going to be any better this year and if your QB can stay healthy. A qb injury changes things for any team in a hurry including your own team. As I said, I'm not worried about our receivers, Roosevelt, Chambers, Bagg, Chiles, and Denmark works just fine with me. -

Our receivers won't be a concern this year. You might want to worry about who else you have besides Dressler on your own team. -

Thanks for your concern, but we will be fine -
Once you take off your cut, you are out.

If memory serves, their only win came at our expense.

I'm fine with some shots back and forth and I knew what you meant

I really enjoy reading posts like this. You nailed it, we are going 0-18 and blow outs every week. Wanting to believe in Santa doesn't make him real.
-
Could be that, but hopefully it doesn't happen

Odds and Sods - XGame 1 - Montreal at Winnipeg

Absolutely Justin Medlock is black. My Raiders have a black punter, Marquette King. Can't think of too many others however -
Our ticket revenues went up and the stadium was still sold out on season tickets at 80% as it is again this year. There is a waiting list for season tickets. First and foremost it is critical that the team endures and is around, so not buying tickets is a very bad idea. My motto is buy the ticket and either not go or give them away. Personally I always go but know others who deliberately leave their seats sit empty to send a message. I'm sure the Bombers have sold a lot of Dressler jerseys. Part of that is excitement that he is here, but IMHO more importantly its the fans endorsing management for making a good move for the team. A drop in merchandise sales and concessions at the stadium is a good way for the fans to express angst as to how team is being run.

That's more what I see also. If they want to look at some rookie o-linemen, be prepared for some missed assignments. No way you leave Willy in there to get pounded in that situation. I'd consider most of first quarter maybe, buts that's about it.
-
I said we have a large number that are not average fans. When did I say our fans are more knowledgeable than anyone else's are?
-
So how long does Willy stay in? 1st quarter? Is Nichols a lock at number 2 this year?
