  1. And he is Canadian, which is huge, and a hell of a lot cheaper than Medlock.
  2. Totally true. Happens all the time around the league. Dressler is no doubt scorned by the Riders and will be looking to stick it to us when ever he can. Funny thing is, honestly, what choice did Jones really have? In Denmark's case, highly unlikely he agrees to a substantial wage cut to stay in the Peg. It had to happen this way. Ego's and pride ruin more good things in life than anything else. I think about how many times I've backed myself into a corner because of pride. Good thing about aging is you don't always have to be right anymore, makes life a lot easier.
  3. Good post. A possible number 3. Players are believed to have a bit of a leg up on people who have never played the particular sport and can help with issues outside the x's and o's. Locker room issues, injury rehab, etc..
  4. I like the defense to play on the edge and hit hard when they get a chance. I mentioned Hefney because who better to teach it than someone who played that way. I also have a fondness for bringing former players back to coach. I think they are emotionally engaged more than a outsider would generally be.
  5. First name that came to mind was Hefney, maybe just because he recently retired I suppose. Either one might be a option
  6. Who's crying? This is a cfl discussion thread so I'm not trolling either. I can take it just fine, but I'll be returning fire. It seems you guys are the ones who can't take it.
  7. Ok so the basis of your joke is the Riders picked him too high in the draft? That we had glaring other more important holes that should have been filled? Or that its so easy to get a kicker there is no need to draft one? All I have to say to that is Justin Medlock.
  8. Are you suggesting he isn't a good kicker? Or are you just trying to be funny? Either way its a fail.
  9. The only year Denmark was in playoffs with the Bombers was first year he was there, so ya my comment still stands
  10. The fans would definitely have been mad. There are people here still mad about dressler not being here. He was well liked and was a big fan favorite. I agree totally with you except for the part that no trade occurred. I see a steady vet in Denmark, depending on the money it might not be a bad move. Dressler see's himself as a top tier receiver in the league, simply fact is his production doesn't warrant his salary. If there was no salary cap, Dressler likely would still be here. At the salary you guys signed him for, Dressler will deliver a good value money wise. Speaking of last year, how many Bomber fans would have wanted Dressler for 240k/yr???
  11. Nothing like making things up on the fly. In what world was that move made??
  12. I'm not sure why they make the move. Veteran in camp I guess.
  13. Fans here, including myself don't like the all green dill pickle look. They look good with the white pants for contrast but the all green is up for debate. The changes to the jersey are fairly subtle but nice. Its much like the Bomber jersey, its the retro with some subtle changes. Its a bit of a modern take on something old. I like it.
  14. I like your new/ old jerseys. This is by far the nicest jersey for you guys. Its the one I remember and think of when I think of the Bombers. I never liked the darker blue ones.
  15. I hope the Riders aren't interested. I've watched Hurl almost make the play enough times to last me a lifetime
  16. I think Fuller will get a lot of attention if he comes back North. Good ball player
  17. Got mixed feelings about it. One thing is for sure, Norwood is very good when healthy. Is he healthy, will he ever be healthy again to regain forum, what are the risks?
  18. Which NI positions are the Riders lacking depth at?
  19. Ok. That's a fair statement. I guess what I'm saying is he is one of the best. Ya Bourke would have been nice to get, too much money for us poor farm boys
  20. Love Fulton, great player. I'm afraid he not be healthy. He has bad knee's. I'd love to see the big guy playing somewhere else this year, not sure that is going to happen
  21. Likely the best OT in the league? A Canadian DE with 23 sacks in the last 2 years? They are no names to you but anyone who actually follows football is very aware of who they are. Maybe you got your helmet done up a little too tight there chief
