  1. Exactly. Many players don't know when they are done, but figure it out when they start becoming a healthy scratch. I'm a fan of Bowman, he has be great for a long time. Do I want to see him in Green, no way.
  2. Nope. Who's job would he be taking? Nobody in their right mind would sit down Hall or Chick for Bowman.
  3. I'm sure a big chunk of those fans are driving in from Calgary for the game. The only stamps fans I've ever seen at mosaic were the players wives. lol
  4. We lose this week and we are going 2-16 or something nasty. We win and we are right back in it. Personally have my doubts, but I'll be there cheering like always.
  5. The other thing the Cats are doing this year is not let teams hang around. Put them out early and hit them hard. That might be the biggest difference I see in the Cats. They are meaner. Losing builds character and it builds desire.
  6. Hard to beat someone 3 times. These last few years, not to be rude, the riders have had a better team and have had the advantage. If there was a year for you guys to sweep, its this year. We'll know this Saturday where our season is heading. Another dismal performance against the Stamps and I'd say the bombers sweep is a definite possibility. The bombers are a better team right now, but as I said before, with out Drew it makes it a lot tighter
  7. Every thing you said Mike is true. I just think it makes the player and the team to a certain extent look bad by going to the media. The other players piping in there was even worse. Seems unprofessional to me for this to be all over twitter. Maybe there have been various attempts behind closed doors to handle it, I don't know.
  8. When I said robbed I meant the fans get robbed. The call was legit, its the fans that die a quick and painful death. The team was robbed of nothing, You either win or you lose on the field. The fans suffer crushing defeats a lot more than the players. I know many wouldn't agree with that but think about it. If you are a lifelong fan of the team, you've been there for many of these moments with your team. The players experience them individually not as a collection of events over a many year period the way the fans do. Been a while since the Cats won the cup, I know those fans suffered through that loss and I'm not going to make fun of it. I know how that feels. The Cats are definitely a contender this year. If they fall short of a grey cup birth it will be viewed by some as a step backwards.
  9. I didn't see us as a top team by any stretch but never thought for a second we would be 0-7. I thought we would be in the hunt with bombers and esks for second place.
  10. I'm ready. Feeling pretty good coming off a weekend that didn't involve swearing and throwing things at the tv. Got some of my mojo back.
  11. I must be a simpleton because I just can't understand why everyone has to air out this stuff for the whole world to read. Nothing wrong with what BLM said but why didn't he do it in person or over the phone?
  12. I honestly think Hamilton got robbed in the Grey Cup in 2014. That holding call that brought back the punt return was weak at best. But of course, I really am not a fan of either team so it didn't matter to me much either way. Watching Nenshi on the podium at BC Place whooping it up with the Cup all I could think was "why don't you build the team a new facility if you are such a fan?" We have all been robbed though. That's what I'm saying, it dam hard to close out the deal, any little thing can be the difference between winning and losing. 2007 Bombers went into the cup without a starting qb. What about our 13th man loss to the Allouetes after they had missed the field goal? It happens to everyone at one time or another. The Ticat's are a good team in a weak division, nothing more IMO. You weren't robbed in the 13th man loss. That was a legitimate screw-up and the correct call was made on the field. You can't hang that one on the refs, it was coaching stupidity and lack of awareness. You don't think the illegal block call was a legit call? It definitely was. NTM there was still enough time on the clock for them to win it, they didn't close the deal. That's my 2 cents anyway.

  14. I think you are definitely on to something with that comment.
  15. I hope you are wrong, but you probably aren't.
  16. Not a big fan of the team I cheer for being too cocky, its just bad karma. Feeling good and having fun out there is a good thing. Being confident also a good thing. Ticat's haven't won anything yet. We suffered 2 years in a row defeats in the big game which lead us into the disaster of 2011. Sorry but put me in the not scared of Hamilton category. Getting to the big one and winning it are two different things. It could very well be their year this year, never know. Or they choke for third straight year.
  17. The real "best fans" in the CFL. Doesn't every team have the best fans?
  18. Mike was a excellent choice and will do a good job. I believe Ritchie Hall interviewed for U of R job also IIRC.
  19. I don't like to dabble in hyperbole, but this guy is the worst agent in the history of agents. What a tool shed. If I'm Huff Simmons is spending the rest of the year on the bench just out of spite. He can't cut him. This crap will happen again and again if players think it will get them out of contracts or released from teams. Sit his butt down for the rest of the year and cut him in the off-season once the point has been proven. If you represent other people professionally you probably shouldn't have a twitter account at all, and "******" definitely isn't a word that should appear anywhere in it. This guy is monumentally bad at his job. It was a bad decision to say anything at all. simple as that.

  21. Turnovers? We are on the cusp of setting new cfl record for the fewest turnovers in a season. That's right friends, old record is 25, riders will shatter that as we are on route to a 5 turnover season. Just kidding, for sure with young qb's, turnovers are the biggest fear. Smith has looked good for us and then the ole pic-6 showed its face last week. Hey Ripper, Got to admire your sense of humour under the circumstances. Nobody follows the riders and loves them more than I do. I have bled green since the day I was born. Its also just a game, its not putting food in my kids mouth or paying my mortgage. Not much sense in me crying about it all year. I'm far more worried about the price of oil, that does scare me. As far as the Riders, let the jokes fly, we'll be back. I'm not worried.

  23. Seriously guys, the Bombers are 3rd lowest scoring team in the league and the 2nd worst behind only the riders for points allowed. But yet you have 3 wins because Drew scored points in those games to overcome what your defence has been allowing, something the Riders have been unable to do. The riders are the second highest scoring team. I like how that matches up with Willy out of lineup. Can the Bombers come in here and win for a second time in 10 years? Absolutely. I'm not going to lie however, unless your young qb's get it going and get it going quick it will be a sweep in both games. The riders are definitely as bad as our record shows, but we are scoring points every week, minus 1. It won't be a 10-6 score. The riders will put up 25-35 points in Regina. Question is, can our defense hold the young qb's to less than that, again something we have been unable to do all year. Will be a great game as always, but I like our chances a lot better with Willy out of lineup. Hope you are all coming, have a safe trip if you are.
  24. Did you know something at the time that we didn't?!? Nothing other than knowing that 42 pages of gloating would eventually come back to bite us in the ass .. if it wasn't an embarrassing loss to the "Owen" Riders .. it was going to be something .. karma (it seems) is a *****. Looking forward to you guys helping us out of the owen category this year. All bets are off for labor day now with Willy out. Willy would just have guaranteed a sweep of you guys in easy fashion. New QB just means it will be two ugly football games that we will win. I was looking forward to dominating you, now I will have to settle for mere victory. BTW, Your defence is HORRID!!!!! Our defence is worse than horrid. That only adds to how you guys will feel when you lose here. (:
  25. Agree with what u are saying. Austin never shuts it down. If he was calling off the dogs he would have pulled Collaros out of the game. Yeah Austin is the kind of ******* who would love to win a game 62-0, there is no way his team shuts it down. Hell after the back to back picks he basically went and bitched slapped everyone on offense for it. Killer instinct is a huge advantage in a coach. Never fun to be on the receiving end of those games. Jones in Edm is the same way, the esks are going to pound you with that dline for 60 minutes, no mercy. it absolutely is. Those two are guys who not only want to beat you they want to beat you into a bloody pulp and make you question everything about your team. There is no letting up for them, you just play your hardest every single snap of the game doesn't matter the score is. To be honest with you, I thought O'Shea would be that kind of coach when you guys hired him. Mike was ultra mean on the field when he played. A guy you always wanted to keep an eye on. I figured a O'Shea coached team would be a mean group. Not insulting the Bombers and saying they aren't tough or anything, but that really hasn't been o shea's style a head coach. Even on special teams in Toronto he was mean and had a fiery unit when he coached there. Honestly I think he is but maybe his assistant coaches aren't and he's not really a meddling type. Ritchie Hall has been a pretty passive defensive coordinator for a while and Bellefool is soft as baby **** on offence. He's sort of hamstrung because with how many coaches the team has fired no one wants to coach here. It sure does seem like that based on their overall play to date. Very conservative. Does he have the players that fit into his preferred system? Maybe he's being passive because he's adjusting the system to what he has available. This isn't Ritchie Halls first go round as a defensive coordinator. He's got lots of history and my memory of his defenses are not ones that terrorize you with all sorts of aggressive pressure. That Brackenridge blitz that takes 20 minutes to unfold, that is when Brack's not offside, that leaves the middle wide open for a long TD, that fools no one, was a benchmark that still lingers from Hall's defence. I've met Hall, he is awesome, there is nothing about football he does not know. He is conservative to a fault. Biggest beef that the fans had with him here was he was unwilling to get aggressive and blitz and clamp down on the those late game backbreaking drives.
