  1. This is probably one of the most satisfying vids of the blue ripping sk.
  2. Your guy hasn't played a complete season since 2013. Using your logic, your guy isn't a franchise QB and hasn't been for a number of years. His best days are behind him. Actually bearpants can pull out the green glasses card, because your human, your the one now making an illogical comparison, and your green.
  3. I haven't figured it out yet, but I'm sure this is Orridge trying to put the screws to Transcona fans somehow. Effen league.
  4. http://gifsoup.com/view/35894/mongo-punches-horse.html GIFSoup
  5. Youz guys are just jealous of transcona. Winnipeg would be nothing without Transcona. Youz guys are just jealous of flamingos. Everyone wants flamingos like transcona. In fact there's a conspiracy to steal flamingos from transcona. Your jealous of the sportscasters from transcona.
  6. The Act allows for on going payments. The possibility of a payment exists if it's in the act. Considering most internationals move away after even a try out, the intent of protecting workers cannot exist. Imo.
  7. I'll agree with the bold. I can't agree that: employees pay premiums (you can't find it in the Act http://web2.gov.mb.ca/laws/statutes/ccsm/w200e.php). that the Board is not an expense paid for by tax dollars (not to include the accident fund which is revenue for the Board). However, if the Board pays for industrial desease, say concussions, and there is no direct incident, but an accumulated injury, how can the accumulation be attributed to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, and not the years as a player being a teenager, student, or practicing outside Manitoba, and awarding payment for what might be a very short period of time in this jurisdiction? I wouldn't want to live without football as entertainment, but I certainly don't believe some dufus from Bucksnort Tennessee (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bucksnort,_Tennessee) earns an ongoing payment by trying out and getting smacked one time to many. these are transient workers.
  8. The governments get to tell workplaces what they can and cannot do because of legislation. The involvement with the government in this issue is as a result of the collective agreement. So the government has the authority to intrinsically change the rules of the game, without scientific evidence to demonstrate safety. im just not sure this is the correct action for protecting players. Perhaps a fee on top of ticket prices for an injury fund would be an alternative. How would that fly? oh. A tax on tickets. How's that for a solution?
  9. Like what can any government bureaucrat tell any professional sports organization about safety? Bureaucrat:" I decree that there shall be no more tackling because of risk of injury to the head" "I decree there shall be no more blocking because of risk of knee injury". then I gets thinkin. Why did they choose Alberta. Because there is a socialist government there.... for the most part, we like the players that say they enjoy the game. The players that are involved for the love of the game. The players are not performing anywhere near an essential service and we love them because they did vicariously what we wish we could do but end up with dementia and other ailments in advanced years. Players have way more options during their careers than the average working person. TBurgess is accurate. Taxpayers have deeper pockets than the CFL. Taxpayers could be on the hook for the busted noggins. But, should they?
  10. http://www.tsn.ca/cflpa-submits-application-for-wcb-coverage-1.553968 Canadian Football League, Conspiracy Football League, Communist Football League. If successful, your provincial governments will have more say involving payment for injuries to players. Not sure how far each WCB would go, but it could go as far as covering brain injuries. Get your tax paying wallets out folks!
  11. Chris Jones portrayed by Al Pacino at the next Conspiracy Football League Governors and GM meeting held and shot entirely ion Casino Regina. Chris reacts to accusations of cheating and accuses the other eight teams of conspiracy.
  12. You want the truth? Gainer is a guy dressed in a Gopher suit. He's not really a gopher.
  13. http://www.tsn.ca/riders-again-fined-by-cfl-for-field-violation-1.546337 they tried this at IGF last year, and lost as well. Im guessing the rest of the teams have complained enough about the Ssk squad air of entitlement and Mr. Commish is straightening them out.
  14. Agreed. Morris Leggett for the HH. That was spectacular. He never gave up.
  15. I'd like to read an unedited "totally in the bag" version. Great work DoD. Your writing is a credit to the forum.
  16. If I offended you with the Orridge question, I apologize. I don't see the situation painted as "what's good for the riders is good for the league". A greater possibility is what's good for the league is good for all teams. You might want to explain your meaning with greater clarity. The CFL prospered for decades and decades with the Ssk franchise being a doormat, no reason to elevate them above other teams now. the riders have set an awful example for kids. Ssk kids are Learning that it's ok to cheat. They are what they are, cheaters. It is now in history. Til the end of time. For ever and ever, Amen.
  17. And Orridge told you this? How are the Riders any better for the league than any of the other 8 team?
  18. Just occurred to me. Jones is saying he didn't know he had too many a players because he is suffering from a concussion.
  19. Larger sanctions are certainly in order. What can't be changed is that the Ssk football club is guilty. Twice in two weeks of breaking very important rules. That's twice they have thought they were smarter than the average CFL club. in all honesty, no embellishment or slander, the Saskatchewan Roughrider Football Club are Cheaters. The cheater label will accurately stick with them. Bunch of cheaters, they are. History now shows them as cheaters.
  20. Yeah but. Now your finally getting the message. And sooner than how you learned to count to 13, 46 or 10.
  21. The many faces of ripper and it all begins with "yeah but...". You should change your handle to Yeah But, know that? It's not common knowledge that other teams carry more players than the rules state. Your making up junk. You have no evidence. Therefore there is no evidence to start an investigation of other teams. I'll characterize your statement as others are guilty as equivalent to a young immature boy getting caught stealing cookies. and now your saying it's ok to be investigated AND you have no problem with that. Well you YOU do have a problem with the investigation because you've said "but but but...". I think you'll be disappointed when the title "cheater" is attached to your coach and the entire franchise, for years and years to come. Every time a green jersey is seen in an opponents stadium, you'll be hearing, whispers and shouts, "there's the cheaters".
  22. That statement is absurd. Saskatchewan is being investigated because of evidence, you want ALL teams investigated because YOUR team got caught AGAIN? I'll review Saskatchewan and their use of numbers. Several years ago over the salary cap and sanctioned. Recently sanctioned for misuse of ratio. Evidence of more players than 46 on roster. Evidence of more players than 10 on practice squad. Smoke billowing that there maybe 10 more players participating in club activities. and of course the sign said "let the 13th man be your worstest nightmare". And blowing a Grey Cup, by an inability to count. AND 10 Grey Cups wins is more than 4. collectively your group must be the biggest bunch of drop outs in the league. I get it. You'll say the whole league is bad at the gozintas.
  23. The coaches wasting away is agreed. I could think of examples of players scorning other players because of being too douchey and lacking performance. Kane and Bogosian. Players know who within their ranks (not a pun, it just happened) are not cutting it. players on the same team after a number of faux pas, still have the potential to recall and memory to lack confidence in a mate, if the pattern of letting others down returns. I'm thinking the offending player gets labelled by mates as inconsistent and unreliable. im not talking about a mistake such as a fumble or int. I'm referencing a lack of consistent playmaking. 17to85, you might be right. I'm only able to recall stories of oustings and banishings. Because teammates are generally closer than any fan would ever be, perhaps we don't hear about players rallying to get back into the fold. Maybe Lirim Hairylahuge fits in that category, but hes with a different squad.
  24. Mike, your right it is not the military. I read Trackers comment as an example. An analogy to make a point. Had tracker chosen to insert "coach" to replace officer/nco and "players" with troops, there may have been greater relevance, but he still made a valid point on the leadership/coaching role. How many times have we heard variations of "those players would go to the wall for that coach"?
