Does a blow out at home Thursday get MOS fired?
Rod Black replied to White Out's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Past 10:30 and mos is still a coach. That doesn't mean a decision hasn't been made respecting his current employment. Conceivably the decision has been made and it's now about timing. Do they throw him out of the plane heading back from Edmonton? That is a bit draconian but appealing. Do they let Austin give him a clinc on August 3, and he decides on his own that he has to leave, to save face? That would be a first. However a stuck pig always gets to squeal for mercy. The two more game scenario before being axed sounds about right. Doesn't matter now how Nichols performs, it's way too little, way too late for the humble coach. -

It's 9:45 right now. Bombers like to make announcements at 10:30. Let's see if MOS gets whacked today at 10:30. 45 minutes to go. -

The receivers were open when Willy was throwing those beauty balls at their ankles. I counted 3 of those. -

there are enough workable parts that the remainder of the team has what it takes to win. It's that DW and MOS are tied at the hip. Who knows if behind the scene this is happening, but if OShea is reluctant, due to the huge qb salary, to tell his bosses that DW needs to sit, then he's not doing the team any good. Should mos wait for his bosses to tell him to play another qb, he's not being an accountable coach. -

Willy should take the heat for this lame offence. The coaches have done all they can for him with protection, schemes, better players. If he's playing or not they still have to pay him, so play another qb. We need hope. -

Do you have a clue how wrong you are to apply this quote to a bomber season ticket holder? How many season ticket holders do you know? I'd guess zero. You have insulted and judged over twenty thousand season ticket holders as psychologically deficient. You have no clue what a season ticket holder commits to year after year after year. Hope is not insanity. You have misquoted a genius thinking your intelligent. I'd say your insane to try and pretend to be a fan yet are clueless to the qualities of a season ticket holder. -
Odds and Sods - Game 4 Edmonton at Winnipeg

who's assignment is it to watch film on the other teams defence to prepare for an upcomîng game? Whoever decided that it's a great idea, "like they'll never expect this trick play", to match Dressler against a giant on a very long pass was probably the most creative play I've witnessed in ages. And that other play deep in the esks zone designed to super surprise the defence, the "throw the ball directly at three esks, and they'll be so surprised they'll just catch it and give the ball to our receiver that will then get a TD. They'll never see it coming". -

Your kidding yourself if you honestly believe a professional medical practitioner is going to lie for a player. The player has no authority to say they were concussed. It's the care giver that evaluated the player that is the authority. It is the practitioners evidence that the third party will consider. That is evidence that may not have been made available to the Commissioner when he made his decision on the suspension. You can call it cowardly and ridiculous, but Duron Carter doesn't care if The Unknown Poster likes his decision to be involved in an appeal or not. To Carter, one game salary, maybe ten grand is at stake. That's incentive enough to have a third party consider an appeal. -
Weston Dressler.

Your reaction through a broad statement is pretty normal. evidence of a concussion can not be ignored. If what your saying is the evidence isn't worth the paper it's written on, that is another matter completely. Manufacturing evidence is an egregious act. The professionals that might make unsupported evidence would be in a very tenuous position. Their risk is high. Higher than supporting Carter for a one day suspension. the league reacting by pulling players is a reactionary knee jerk activity that is counter to the CFLPA and CFL agreement. The parties have agreed to have a dispute resolution mechanism, to live with the out come, and then move on. -

Carter fined by the team. Suspended 1 game by the league. Campbell fined by the league. Gavins fined by the league. http://www.tsn.ca/als-carter-suspended-one-game-1.520950 most that deserved discipline, received it. Quantum of discipline might be open for debate, but at least action against participants was taken. Notwithstanding Carters concussion he received in the play, evidenced by his amnesia of the event but not used as an excuse yet, and the behaviour of Ottawa players during the incident this should be the end of the debacle. -
Week 2 Other Games (Als vs Ott Sask vs TO Ham vs BC)

Rule 1, Section 11, Article 1 The coaches shall not be permitted on the playing field at any time during the game, except with the permission of the Referee. thats the rule folks. I can't see the Ref and ref only, not a linesman, giving permission to Campbell to enter the playing field, but coaches get on the field frequently during the game without sanctions. So Campbell can argue it's an unenforced rule and therefore does not apply. However Campbell clearly embellished the flop as he raised his shoulder to try and bump Carter, Carter took a hell of a hit in the end zone on that touchdown, so when will the documentation surface that he underwent the concussion protocol, because he clearly wasn't thinking straight by nudging Campbell. -

Campbell was chirping at Carter pre push. Carter could have been chirping before Campbell stepped in front him, which is how many play the game. Carter (you couldn't stop me, you. Can't stop me, WHAM) obviously didn't give up ground on his walk back to the bench. You might have heard Milt state that he'd walk the line after a TD past the opposition bench, when teams are on both sides, "to see how they'd react". If Milty has looked for a reaction, you bet it's done frequently in pro football. -

The Carter Campbell debacle is an embarrassment to the league. There is a field of play. Players and officials are only allowed on the field of play, not coaches, cheerleaders or fans. In my view Campbell was on that field and baited Carter, who foolishly fell for the taunt. The league could and should throw the book at Carter. Campbell should be sanctioned as well. Coachs have their roles and can't be allowed to get involved with play on the field. Wasn't it last year big ol' Rich Stubler was way out of the team sideline area and interfered by "coaching" an official which resulted in a fine? Austin sure learned he can't get involved on the field. Sanction Carter, Campbell and other players on the Ottawa bench for reacting to Bump.
