Notice the Fred Childress interview took nothing away from the play by play. That was much better. Childress sounded so grateful for the CFL. Heart warming.
I viewed that open book comment as the rb’s fell victim to a “rope a dope” offensive performance.
We had ‘‘em right where we wanted ‘‘em when we needed. Bye the way, that’s a benevides coached d man that’s saying such a gullible comment.
At first blush, I’ll say that after 22 years in the CFL he has not shown any high level of success. He makes a living. Not a living legend, imo. I certainly don’t mind if you like the guy.
I recall seeing Lapo and Benevides doing a pub crawl during the last Grey Cup week hosted in Winnipeg. They were not sloshed or making fools of themselves, just buds going out, shooting the ****. Seeing that Lapo has Benevides on his staff, makes me think that Ottawa didn’t try much more than what they thought as adequate to fill a position. They hired a “I know a guy”. There has to be better coaches out there than Mike Benevides.
That interview with Sinopoli in the press box, overriding the play was awful. I don’t want to see sinopoli learn the telestrater while missing action on the field. Piss poor direction.
It just occurred to me. I don’t think I’ve seen Mike OShea ever get a star or HH mention. He is developing quite the winning record. Yet he is cool, doesnt go nuts on the sidelines, considering our awful first half, and I believe that might be a reason that the players don’t get many penalties. Penalties don’t often kill us, like Ottawa killed themselves tonight.
The past two seasons of Bomber teams are a pretty tough act to follow. We are still in first place. The D manages giving up few td’s. Buck is better O coordinator than the clown that was there two seasons ago, imo.
