Folks, the parties that draw up, advise and agree to wording of the contracts are very well trained, undoubtably experienced, and relate these contracts to accepted language and terminology. The CBA, is a result of agreement between the league and the association. A players contract is between the player and the team, influenced and superseded by CBA. All parties in the Durant/WBBFC dispute are very sophisticated and certainly aware beforehand of the conditions of this signing bonus and consequences of non adherence of the contract. The non advisal of a retirement decision is a pain in the behind. I’d suggest the parties know what they will do to resolve it and probably less flappable than us posters.

Exactly. It’s absurd to support that the 70k is just for an “autograph”. Signing bonus is offset against future earnings. It gets money to player before it’s earned, with the parties agreeing it will be earned. Durant didn’t hold up his portion of deal because he never earned a salary by participating as a player.

Quentin Gause #42 is a very thick guy. Broke up a play in his area. Physically solid. Was probably the second heaviest guy out there, behind Goosen. Notable on the D, #37 Zavian Bingham dB, played the receivers physically and very tight breaking up plays and got a few cheers from fellow D men. He was mugging L. Washington but Wash still came up with a one handed grab. #45 Chinedu Oparuku good size and appeared eager. #19 Kylie Wilson looks like he’ll be competing for a LB position, focused. #12 not on field but #18 replaced him. Have no idea who #18 is. #16 Tyler Stewart threw the ball the hardest of all four qbs out there. 15 and 13 rounded out the qbs. #13 Nelson looked the most challenged of the qbs. #32 Cierre Wood RB is enthusiastic, fast, and hustles. Might be his schooling. He sure brought it.
