not really - I lost contact with this site some time ago and only found it again when I installed my new laptop. That happened last week. But think what you like - most of what you have to say is just jibber jabber IMHO.
-
Does not really matter - Looks like Holly will be in for Demski and give them yet more weapons against the Richie Hall Bend Bend and then Break Defense. I think the change actually makes the Riders stronger.

thanks for letting us know. I must admit I have not posted there for some time. A great big thanks to "Mookie" for starting the site up. It eventually led to other sites such as this. And if anyone knows why I call Colin "Mookie" than you have been around all of the sites as long as I have. RIP OurBombers .com - Thanks for the memories.

Duron Carter - Winnipeg fans "trash ass"
BBRT replied to kelownabomberfan's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Stupidest post I have ran across in some time. Little wonder most have left this site. This Carter dude is one hell of a good player - don't care for him personally but you comments are way off line. -
Can you imagine if the virus hit RiderFans.com - half of Regina is on that site. What would they do with the spare cycles if the site was down?

What are some of the other Bomber Message Boards?
BBRT replied to B-F-F-C's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Yeah you and TB do have differences of opinions that's for sure. But look at it this way - No Nasty Nate around here - which is a blessing I guess - although I do miss him stoking up the fires so to speak. I enjoy this site along with a few others. I have known Colin for a number of years (ever since Total-CFL days) but seldom visit his site. This site is by far the best. Really miss the old Total-CFL days though - lots of top notch posters that have gone on to other sites. And lots of pitched battles back then.! -
Does a blow out at home Thursday get MOS fired?
BBRT replied to White Out's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
agree 100% - regardless of the record MOS is safe at least to the Labor Day Match Ups. If he wins one or two during that time frame he will be safe for the balance of the year - then they (the talking heads) will re-assess blah blah blah. Same Bat Station Same Bat Channel - Same results as the last two years. -
Is it any wonder why the Bombers will not release the 2016 season ticket count! IMHO it is akin to being on the Titanic and upon seeing the iceberg look up to the wheel house and see "Daffy Duck" steering the ship! Or more succinctly trying to figure out which is smarter "Moe Larry or Curley"

Rebuild # 32769: Kick Us When We're Down Edition
BBRT replied to IC Khari's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Double Yyyyyyyawn - if "hope is there in the bomber camp" he would be sacked, not playing, or otherwise put on the 6 game Injury list! - They could just take the last 3 years under MOS and just duplicate year in and year out as long as he is still the HC. -
Sooooooooo If I pick 6 out of 6 on 6-49 I will be rich! Next week against the Esks will be a fun test for the Bombers - I don't see it as being very close but you never know. I would not have thought the Riders could hang in there and almost win it. A Bomber victory next week would be a major upset IMHO.
-
Gads you could have posted this last year and the year before and probably every game this year. Seems very little if anything has changed over the past 3 years. So IMHO there is only one common denominator and that just happens to be the 3 Amigos (MOS, Willy and Walters).

stampsfans.com is the one I visit

To me everything depends on whether or not the Bombers can break out on top and stay on top early in the game. If we go through the first half with little yards and little scoring I doubt we will come back. And regardless of which team has the most talent in my opinion it all comes down to who has the best game plan. And unfortunately I think that will tip the scale toward the Stamps. Weather may also play a role as we are expecting 60% chance of thundershowers around game time etc.
-
sort of agree but IMHO it is a very short leash. DW has to pick up his game quickly as the first 6 games in the schedule are killers. We could very well be 1-5 or 2-4 or even 0-6 before the summer is 1/2 over.
-
I think the majority of us will give MOS a little more time to get things right. But the score did flatter the Bombers and should not have been even that close. Drew Willy's performance in the first half was miserable and the defence made Kevin Glenn look like an all star. So I can see where the Doom and Gloom come from. However let's see where things stand at the 1/3 mark. If the Bombers are 1-5 or 0-6 - and they very well could be - it will be time to make some serious changes. From what I can see so far this team regardless of who they bring in player wise just is not well coached.

I guess that is how I feel. When we moved to Calgary from the Peg about 15 years ago (I moved our small company here to get better engaged within the oil patch) I was really down. Had been a season ticket holder in the Peg ever since we moved to Winnipeg from Dallas (wife is from the Peg). Once we made the move to Calgary I even renewed my season tickets for about 5 years and gave them away to family members still in the Peg. Then during the Jeff Reinebold era I just got fed up and did not renew but watched every Bomber game and traveled back and forth each year to catch at least 2-3 games etc. Then slowly but surely over the years and now with the current state of the organization I seldom even watch them on TV and only post and follow things here from time to time. I guess what I am saying is at least related to my situation I am slowly trending downward and becoming less engaged and indeed more disengaged. To quote Herb Brooks "Fool me once shame on you - Fool me twice shame on me" !

With the additional cost of the work yet to be accomplished can anyone tell me what the projected total costs all in will be for the stadium regardless of who the heck pays for it. Things are getting out of hand as I hear some rumors that indicate that the total (all in costs) for the stadium will approach $400M (which can not be right can it?)
-
Oh shucks - I thought it was Nasty Nate back - after being banned over on the Riderfans site the only home left for him is on the Stamps site. But guess not. In any event just to chime in here I think Wade has 2016 to right the ship and then if not - bye bye. I must admit I was very enthused when the Board brought him on board as the CEO but after two years not so impressed. And with little if any additional revenue streams other than gate receipts projected for 2016 I think the Bomber Bottom line in 2016 may be awash with Red Ink.
-
And a big Amen to that remark. The time for excuses is indeed over. Walters and MOS deliver this year or they are toast! End of story!
-
excellent job Rich - love the look and feel.
-
MOS will probably still be here then and reviewing the game films before he comments on our 5-13 or 4-14 etc season!
-
True Dat - I had no use for MB but the firing should have gone higher up the food chain. It will be interesting to see what the STH count will be like in 2016 with Miller and his boys still running the gong show.
-
Not sure I buy into the MOS support side. I think you can take what you indicated above and play it at the start of 2015 and again at the start of 2016. MOS being very close is IMHO incorrect. I do not believe the team progressed in 2015 but rather regressed with MOS as the HC. If striving for average and below average is your end game that yes keep Walters and MOS around. Just NOT my idea of success.

Lawless: O'Shea & Walters to return in 2016
BBRT replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I have read all the posts both pro and con and really don't have an answer. I however, know one thing - the season ticket count for 2016 will tell us whether the decisions that need to be made shortly will be correct or not. I really don't want to blow up the entire management structure and start over again, but on the other hand what has happened since Wade Miller has taken over is not all that good, at least IMHO. Unless something changes that will put the 20-25 K season ticket holder into the stands this team is going to be in trouble. I don't know what the financial stability of the franchise happens to be, but how long can they continue to generate the revenue to stay viable given their record over the past 4-5 years? Reading all the posts on this site and others this year and seeing the results on the field over the past 4 or 5 years leaves me with some significant doubts regarding current engagement. I can only say that living in Calgary I have always made a point of getting to Winnipeg for at least 2 games a year and every game that the Bombers played had me in front of my TV when not in the Peg. This year that did not happen. I taped all the games and watched a few. Next year I doubt I will take the time to head back to the Peg for any games. And I have been bleeding Blue and Gold since 1981! -
Ok for the uninformed! What is TEP? Is it a site Ok for the uninformed - what is TEP? Is that a CFL site somewhere?
