You could be correct Rios may surprise us!
-
might be a little closer than that - Sooner or later the Esk's have to put up a good effort - but still a TiCats win.
-
Sometimes it is very hard to get a message across. I do live in Calgary I do have season tickets to the Stamps games -they are a business write off. I have moved more from a die hard Bomber Fan to more of a casual Bomber Fan. Still watch the games when I can. Still try and get to the Peg once a year if possible and try and catch one game. Happy if/when they win but do not get too down when they don't. I think MOS is an adequate HC - I believe Plop will move on and Richie Hall will be turfed at the end of year. As for most Stamps fans being casual fans might have some truth there. Enjoy the pros and cons here and will always will Still remember freezing my butt off down by the Bay when they had the parade after the 1984 Grey Cup Win!

I am not one that believes the Riders are an inferior team. I think they have made significant improvements over last years team. I believe their DL compares with ours. Their secondary is better at least IMHO. I believe our OL is better and our running game is better. However they have decided edge in their receiving corps. I think we have an edge in Special Teams. I believe this game will prove who they are and who we are. I am just afraid that in a close game - The Richie Hall defense will yet again let us down.
-
yes but when the things they bring to the table is not eatable then it time to get new coordinators who can bring things to the table that are acceptable. Both have had long enough to accomplish what is required and both have failed IMHO.
-
There are a number of folks that just like to whistle when they walk by a grave yard - All is good! All is Well! - there on the other hand are those that know things are not good and things are not well and no amount of deflection will change that. Sorry but the facts are the facts.
-
And all caps to boot. Must mean you are angry or your keyboard locked! My point is that the stamps continue to bring in folks - whether they help this year or not whether they are any better than what they have is a moot point. They continue to bring in folks to evaluate even this late in the season. Means they are always looking where as we just seem to maintain the status quo as long as possible.

looks like Calgary unlike the Bombers is never standing still and always looking for ways to improve the team.
-
Welllllll! I would not say great - maybe good maybe sort of average. No problems with Walters or even Miller - MOS not sure about as his DC and OC are his responsibility etc. I do believe the talent is there - just not being utilized correctly
-
Honest Answer - Yes You Must - especially if you follow the Richie Hall Defensive Play Book! See I made this into a football related response.
-
Maybe if they changed from "Love playing for Mike" to "Love Winning for Mike" we might see some improvement. I could care less about the kumbaya love fest in the locker room.
-
What's with the Apple? Hall does not deserve an Apple nor road map. I would take him to the bus station and point him in any direction away from the Peg.
-
Very well said - I tend to agree with all of your comments. I think MOS staying with Richie Hall way way too long may be his demise! I think any thing other that getting to the Western Finals (and that might be a stretch) means MOS and his Hall will exit stage left. 6 years of MOS with nothing more that a so so record may be enough depending on where the team finishes at the end of the year. If they have to go into Regina for the Semi and then make it to the WF in Calgary it is game set and match for MOS IMHO.
-
Nasty is that you? or maybe Migs? - Wow! welcome back! Someone to make fun of at last!
-
Nah - I agree about Ottawa, Edmonton and now the Argos - but don't think we will be able to beat the Riders in Regina next week. They are taking care of business in Toronto - something we failed to do.
-
Why do we need to give them the Apple? Just the roadmap would be all I would give them (and charge them for the roadmap)!
-
That is a good question. As for me I moved out to Calgary about 18 years ago. When I lived in the Peg (moved there from Dallas in 1981) I was true blue fan. Season tickets and all - lived and died each game. When I moved to Calgary for a number of years I maintained my season tickets in the Peg even though I also have season tickets for the Stamps. Then over the say, last 5 years or so I have become more or less emotionally detached. I don't watch all the games - I tape them and then decide if I want to watch them afterwards. I use to yell and scream at the TV (drove my better half nuts!). Now I watch the game with more or less a detached overview. If they win I am happy - if they lose; well life does go on. I think I have changed into more of a CFL football supporter than a Bomber supporter. In an hour or so I will be watching the Edmonton-Ottawa game and then the Rider-Argo game mixed in with some NCAA football. So bottom line I have moved from a live or die with the Bombers to more of casual fan.
-
just to be clear - you are not wrong. lots of issues in Bomber land. They have always been there just masked with a few easy wins against bad teams. Now we are one of the bad teams heading no where in the fast lane.
-
and our DB's would run away from it!
-
He probably got lost on the way to the booth or rest room and ended up on the sidelines - would have been better if he ended up on the Hamilton sideline!
-
I guess we shall see next week. I think our OL is better but our DL and theirs are pretty close to each other. They do have a better receiving corps and a far better secondary. And to add to that they do not have Richie Hall - that by itself is worth at least 2TD's for them. I think it will be a close game but in the end the Richie Hall defense will yet again crap the bed!
-
I don't think you can embarrass this franchise! Wade Miller and Kyle Walters are beyond being embarrassed. As long as 25K or so pay for tickets each and every home game they will just keep trucking along. New HC here and there, new OC and DC here and there. Few good players here and there - No Grey Cups since I can not remember when. They just keep trucking along same same.
-
Saskatchewan has a better QB and a far better DC - even if they had a Door Knob as DC. They will kick Toronto butt today - where we lost and we go into their barn soon and will probably keep the score close until Richie Hall fails yet again. Hence my thinking the Riders are a better team than the Bombers. As for me today is a great day 3 CFL games on, lots of NCAA football and tomorrow I get to watch the Bears-Vikings game along with the Browns and Pats play. Great weekend for football here in Calgary. I also just purchased two tickets for the Grey Cup! Not sure who will be there but thinking Calgary vs. Hamilton.
-
The Hamilton team played more conservative in the second half - They full well knew that playing against a Richie Hall defense they could crank it up again any time they wanted to. Hamilton is just a far far better team on both sides of the ball than Winnipeg, as is Calgary and Sask as far as I am concerned. You will never ever win anything of importance as long as you have Richie Hall as your DC. There is no way in the world we could have pulled this one out. I doubt we will win many more. Make the playoffs and one and done is what is in store for this club. Maybe they will fall into the cross over and then get pounded out east.
-
I agree - I think the game will be a hard played game and Lawrence will be there but I think the refs will be keeping a very close eye on him and the first time anything of major consequence happens he will be gone. What the Bombers have to watch out for is taking shots at him and getting penalties of their own. This game IMHO will be very close and may depend on a Medlock FG to win it - and given his season so far would be nice to see him win one for us. Also would be nice to see a Richie Hall Defense not give up the ghost in the second half.
