Good post. I had not heard much all week regarding Strev's condition. I do think he was on the gimp during the second half last week and if his running ability is degraded then we may be in a jam against the Cats.
-
Yeah! Ah Nope ! Doubt MOS will change all that much. I do believe that if we have a good lead going into the 4th and Richie Hall screws the pooch yet again! MOS will not be happy!

Game Day Thread: Week 15- Bombers @ Als, Khari Redux Edition
BBRT replied to Wanna-B-Fanboy's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
in my opinion - None! Nada! LaPo is already penciled in as a HC somewhere. I think they will get into the playoffs - do their normal one and done and then disburse to parts unknown. -
Got to say I took an in country R&R at China Beach (in Danang) and the beach was something I will remember always. Was nicer that the beach in Sidney when I did an out of country R&R after my first tour.

Game Day Thread: Week 15- Bombers @ Als, Khari Redux Edition
BBRT replied to Wanna-B-Fanboy's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Sorry dude - trying to blame this on on the ref's failure to call what Adams did is just sour grapes IMHO. The Bombers offense and defense just plain gave up the ghost in the second half. I believe the office scored 3 points in the second half and we all know what to expect from a Richie Hall Defense - Nothing more to say - A Richie Hall defense will never ever win you a Grey Cup! -
OK have to ask! Why are you going to SE Asia soon? I had a fun time there (Vietnam and Cambodia- yes we were actually in Cambodia) from 1969-1971 supporting Uncle Sam's Green Machine! And that was a very very sarcastic comment from my side. Was there humping the jungle for 2 tours and part of a 3rd. Enjoy!

Amen! Richie Hall should be fired before he gets on the plane back to the Peg. -

Amen! Bombers need to come out in Q3 as if was 0-0 otherwise the Als get back in the game and anything can happen. -
I am with you on this one. I like what Peterman brings to the table - reminds me of a bigger Rick House.

Mr. Noeller Sir - I have been on this forum since day one. I really can not post all that often as work tends to get in the way. Today is a travel day and I am in my hotel (not in Regina or Saskatoon) but Toronto which is even harder to like. So not going anywhere soon. But thanks for the warm fuzzies!
-
NAH! Saskatchewan is not that bad. I have a number of clients in both Saskatoon and Regina. If I had my choice I would rather go to Saskatoon but am in Regina often on business. Great people in both cities.
-
IMHO as long as you have Richie Hall as your DC you will not be able to go very far. Maybe a playoff game but it will be a one and out yet again. When you need the defense to make that big stop to win a game Richie Hall is no where to be found.
-
I think the other game is at Regina unless I misread the schedule.
-
In Moosejaw hotel at the moment waiting for my ride to the game. Will be sitting with clients (all Rider fans) but will have my Bomber gear on. I am hoping for a clean well played game. No major injuries and whoever wins please let it not be decided by a ref's call etc. Game day weather looks good so far.

I sort of disagree with your assessment of Fajardo - from what I have seen he is a very accurate passer and if you give him all day I believe he will come out ahead. I suggest we get pressure on him. Also given Richie Hall's bend but not break if we give Fajardo all that much time he will move the ball down the field and keep our defense on the field far too long. He does through a pretty good ball and has good accuracy from what I have seen.
-
This be true - the back to back in Regina will be what it is all about. Going to be a slobber knocker slug fest for sure! Can't wait. I live in Calgary but have tickets (from my client) for the Regina game. Room's booked and ready to go!

Got to agree with you on this one Mookie! Great to hear from you again. IMHO this year was a make or break year for him and if he is lost for the season I think it would be best in the long term to move on.
-
I agree with what you are saying. My major grievance is that despite our record with is great I have great concerns as it relates to our ability to not only win the Cup but just to get there. I do not believe that we will be able to get their unless we can prove we can thrown downfield and stretch the defense. Failing to do that IMHO will doom us when it counts. I also do not believe we will achieve what we all are wanting ( A Grey Cup Victory) with our current QB. This is solely my opinion and I do not expect everyone to agree with it. And as one of my old bosses use to say "Exception Noted".
-
I disagree with your post. I am over on the Rider site quite often and while there were 1 or maybe 2 that said what you imply the majority of them just said it was the rule and they would take the win. Just as we bomber fans would. Are there delusional fans on that board - heck yes - are there delusional fans on this site - heck yes. You will find these folks on any fan board. It was not post after post as you imply.
-
How do you figure that? Maybe Calgary D does not come out for the second half? Would be nice but not something I would hang my hat on that's for sure.
-
Well maybe they can adjust by having Matty Thin Ice go downfield. Doubt he has 50 yards in the first half
-
Boy I would like to have what you're smoking or ingesting etc. I see it Stamps 28-27 over the Bombers. Matty "Thin Ice" has the chance to pull off a win but yet again can not deliver.

Pregame talk: Patriots North come to town
BBRT replied to White Out's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Here is how I see it - Calgary has a short week. They also have some injuries (as we do). We are at home. But and this is the difference to me. Calgary has a far better coaching and management team. They always seem to fill the holes when they lose folks and have injuries. Bombers not at that level. Calgary wins in a close game. We have the chance to pull out the win but MN yet again fails to take the team to a victory. Calgary 28 Bombers 27. -
I think the Esk at Calgary game today will make the next week game very interesting. If the Esk beat the Stamps - the Stamps will be looking for get even in the Peg. Now the same could be said about the Bombers losing two in a row out east and coming home. However I think the Bombers will be so up tight that they will be in self destruct mode if they fall behind. I actually hope for a Stamps win over Edmonton and maybe they will come in a little over confident etc. If the game comes down to a last minute drive for a win - we are toast - not in MN or POP's playbook.
-
And that is the sad truth - Fajardo looking up - Nichols is as good as he ever will be - which is not all that good IMHO.
