  1. I missed the BC-Toronto game last night, did Elimimian play? I had thought he was back for this game.
  2. Sorry Dude - but no matter what slant you try and put on things - IMHO Richie Hall needs to exit stage right after this year. And sorry yet again but the Calgary Stamps organization is something the Bomber organization should try and aspire to. They are the top organization in the CFL as of today - Nice try though!
  3. I can agree with most of what you say - however I would rather have a defense that can protect a lead. And I agree Ottawa has a good team and fought back hard. And the 2 points is 2 points regardless of how it is achieved. I am just not sold on the Richie Hall defense and have not been sold on him for 5 years now. When his defense can protect a lead and play at the level they did against Edmonton game in game out - he will make a believer out of me.
  4. I agree - in the middle of the game the D did a real good job - but there is more than a middle - there is a beginning and an end. And the Bomber Defense is not very good at ends. Thankfully Bighill forced the fumble and it was game over. However and can not even begin to emphasize this - the game should have never gotten to OT. Richie Hall's defense as usual sagged and almost self destructed in the 4th quarter - which has happen way to many times during his tenure IMHO.
  5. Not a Nichols hater by the 3's instead of 7's could come back to haunt us. It is also the adjustments at half time that concerns me. Ottawa will make some adjustments however the Bomber Brain Trust has been sorely lacking in making many positive half time adjustments.
  6. This game, at least to me is just too hard to predict. Which Trevor Harris will show up? Can our DB's handle the Ottawa wide outs and slots (they are very very good)? Can we stop Powell? Can they stop Harris? Just too many variables to think about. The one thing that does concern me is mistakes. If the game is close and comes down to who makes the fewest mistakes, there have been times in the past when we have played the goat and made the most mistakes etc. Too many penalties etc. I see it as a very close game with the team that makes the fewest mistakes coming out on top.
  7. It will be an interesting game. To me the large variable is which Trevor Harris will show up? There are times he looks like a world beater and other times you wonder why he is even in the game. Also what Bomber defense will show up will be interesting. Ottawa has a good OL and and good receiver set and at the moment the leagues leading rusher, therefore will be a challenge for the Bomber defense. And of course we will all wonder if MN is on the uptick or not.
  8. While I tend to disagree with the majority of your posts - I do want to 100% agree with your comments "I'm really beginning to get the feeling that O-Shea is a good coach, but he's not quite good enough" - Got to agree with that 100%. The balance of your post not so much! There are a number of us that have been here and on other Bomber sites over the years that hang around when things are bad and post when things are good (which they have not been for a very very long time). Whether you agree or not - moot point!
  9. And this is what really scares me. When guys like Mike makes comments like this and others that have been long time posters and Bomber True Blue Fans no longer even bother to post here - I take notice. I will and still am a Bomber Fan - just not as emotionally invested these days. I have zero faith that the Bomber Management Team is capable of turning the ship around however will always cling to the hope that at some point in time the Board will bring on a competent management team. Until then I will enjoy all of the pros and cons posted here but at the end of the day whether the Bombers win or lose really does not make my list of important issues of the day.
  10. Your more than welcome!
  11. I am sure Walters and O'Shea's standard line will apply - "We are happy with what we have" Etc. Etc.
  12. and this scares me. When Mike says he is "just about over this regime" IMHO the Regime needs to take notice. As for me love, the dialogue here - I no longer have any emotional investment in the Bombers but like to discuss the pros and cons. Hard to believe that I use to buy season tickets even though I live in Calgary! It will be interesting to see how the season plays out and where the Bombers land - and given where I believe they will land what changes will take place in the off season in order to get enough folks to buy season tickets for 2019. Hope does spring eternal!
  13. Let me be perfectly clear on where I stand. I am in pretty much agreement with TB's posts. Most of what I hear here and I want to be absolutely clear I include you "WBBFanWest" in that group - is that most of what I hear is all of the "We Could Have - We Should have" etc. etc. The Bombers beat Edmonton - great win! They are a 500 club with an uphill battle and I have my doubts they will win more than 1 maybe 2 more games. They may or may not make it in the playoffs as a cross over. They are just not that good and that includes from the top to the bottom and I fully expect changes in 2018 regardless of what happens for the balance of the year. You have your opinion and I happen to align my thinking more closely with TB's.
  14. not sure about that - the Edmonton offense seems to be having some issues and their defense does not scare anyone. Just to get there would be nice. All the Bombers can hope for is a cross over (if that). Riders seem to be able to figure out how to win when they probably should not have won. Give them credit for that at least. We on the other hand seem to be able to ****** defeat from the jaws of victory quit easily.
  15. That was my thoughts also. Manziel just does not have that good throwing motion that all successful QB's have. His throws were off his back foot, wobbly at times and seem to only have arm strength no technique. Great running capabilities but as a CFL QB doubt he will be here next year unless he learns how to throw. Just not impressed with his passes period.
  16. Dang never thought of that - Now you will keep me up all night worrying about having to see the entire collection back next year!
  17. Agree - Injury report will be very critical. We don't have much hope with them in but without them we have zero hope. All that happened tonight is that the Bombers beat the worse team in the league and the score did flatter the Bombers IMHO.
  18. I agree 100% with TBURGESS's comments. Winning over Montreal means very little IMHO. Losing to them would mean much more. When and only When the Bombers beat someone like Calgary, Edmonton, heck even Regina now, would mean progress and create some positives IMHO. Winning over Montreal is just a Meh to me. Losing to Montreal would be an interesting scenario IMHO.
  19. This is how I see it too - MOS gives Nichols the start and the Bombers win against the worse team in the league. Then all is sweetness and light and some folks around here can plan the parade. I see it differently; Winnipeg wins - to be expected Winnipeg wins by a lot - Wow! We are really good! Winnipeg Loses - Well can not even imagine what I will read here. Bottom line to me, a Bomber win by a few or lots means nothing to me. It is what happens after this game and the next game that counts IMHO
  20. Mike what is the twitter account for the bombers? I am sort of new to twitter and not sure which one to follow - and hopefully not get blocked right away😀
  21. Can't help but agree - shut down Andrew Harris and wait for the picks to come - seems to work quiet well. Wonder if Montreal saw the game film on how to handle the Bombers? I was surprised that neither Hughes or Jefferson got a sack last night. Maybe the Ottawa OL is a little better than we had thought.
  22. That is the truly sad part and tells us more than we care to know about the Bomber organization. The Stamps always have 1,2 or 3 in the wings waiting for their chance - all quality people at just about every position. We are lucky to find a fill in for Buzz and Boomer!
  23. Great first half and I agree with a previous poster - both of these teams can/have/will beat the Bombers easily.
  24. I see BC winning one of the Hamilton games maybe Toronto and then if Calgary has first place wrapped up maybe win against Calgary - that gives them 3 wins. I see Winnipeg winning against Montreal and maybe finally win one against the Riders (as it is in the Peg). But that's about all I see on the win side for the Bombers. That would leave the Bombers with a 7-11 and BC 8-10. Will be interesting to see if either team can pull one out against Calgary or Edmonton.
