  1. That is exactly why changes were made at The Forks regarding Canada Day celebrations: https://www.theforks.com/blog/360/finding-our-north-star-on-canada-day-at-the-forks-2023 The changes were necessary and, quite honestly, long overdue.
  2. What an utter dumpster fire of a football game.
  3. https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/harper-orban-ties-1.6898904 Mask off.

  5. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/crime-initiatives-downtown-winnipeg-1.6898723 Address the root causes? Nah. What a moron.
  6. Also see: you and critical thinker. You sure about that? It seems like the same garbled commentary with no basis in reality. Canada's been burning for weeks now and the usual suspects attempt to derail yet another thread with conspiracy theories and falsehoods related to climate change.
  7. More incoherent word salad - even threw "woke" into it. Insufferable.
  8. I enjoy fireworks as well, but I can understand why The Forks has opted to get rid of them for drone shows. Fireworks have an extremely detrimental impact on the environment: https://phys.org/news/2023-01-short-term-fireworks-long-term-impact-wildlife.html
  9. https://www.theforks.com/events/signature-events-attractions-tours/signature-events/canada-day-at-the-forks You're just making **** up in some lame attempt at pearl clutching. drone show = sad man and no celebration
  10. Clearly. no fireworks and whatnot = no celebration of a country /s
  11. Until irresponsible corporate interests in key industries around the world* decide to make changes for better and sacrifice their profits, it doesn't really matter what the average person does. They're the biggest contributors and won't look beyond their own disgusting avarice. Of course there are things we can do each and every day to reduce our impact on the environment, but it's a relative drop in the bucket individually compared to those hundred or so entities that just want to maintain the status quo of generating wealth for a select few on this planet. * Canada included (we're amongst the worst per capita)
  12. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/vulcan-iron-works-building-fire-history-1.6896881 Really fascinating read about this building. It's often easy to forget how much history this city has.
  13. And then yesterday was even hotter (17.18 C): https://www.cbc.ca/news/climate/global-heat-record-1.6897445 We're ******.
  14. https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/air-canada-day-weekend-delays-cancellations-1.6896988 What a trash airline.
  15. https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/online-news-act-google-facebook-meta-1.6897186 Good. Do the domestic media giants, grocery giants, petroleum giants, and banking giants next.
  16. Als look like a bit of a slimy team and the officials seemed to miss a few dirty plays. All in all a solid bounceback win last night. Nice having Jeffcoat back, too.
  17. More from Billeck: https://twitter.com/ScottBilleck/status/1674496646141575168
  18. Anyone else pick this up yet? What a fantastic game. So beautifully polished and addictive. If there's a reason to own a PS5, FFXVI is it.

  22. It's a terribly archaic layout and could've used a major update years ago, but it's still an enjoyable forum with good discussions, members, and content.
