  1. You'd think if Regina were the Grey Cup's rightful home, it'd have been there more than four times in 107 years of CFL campaigns.
  2. So glad to be 5G capable, which will help a ton at the lake! Anyone else who got the Pfizer second dose dealing with a pretty sore shoulder/arm the next day? Mine is considerably more tender than the first dose but I'm feeling great otherwise (Tylenol trick works wonders).
  3. He sounds like a real oxygen thief, IMO.
  4. Has the 5G kicked in yet? I've heard raising your arm that got the poke helps increase the range.
  5. Relentless forecheck, solid face-off prowess, and a really mobile blue line.
  6. Same! Tuesday at 16:20 at RBCCC! Can't wait to complete the 5G upgrade!!
  7. Nice to see things gaining some traction here as far as details and planning go. Fingers crossed it leads to confirmation of a 2021 season on Monday. It'd be great to see the champs defend their title!

  9. How utterly ******* disgraceful. The pox on the PCs.
  10. I think the Jets died prior to the series even starting; they appeared to get fat heads over sweeping the Oilers. They looked like microwaved dog turds to start the first game and it's been mostly brutal ever since. ScheifeleGate only exacerbated things and now the top 6 can't do anything offensively while struggling defensively. Special teams are quite a mess again, too. They're playing like they did during that lengthy slide late in the regular season.
  11. Well, this just stinks all around. **** the NHL.
  12. George Parros' career as an enforcer: over 1,092 PIM, 169 fights, 2 concussions. NHL brass: Let's put this man in charge of player safety!
  13. Is it really any different than having proof of vaccination to travel to specific countries? I don't think so. Vaccines are meant to protect people (oneself and others) and keep everyone safe and healthy. My view is if you want to enjoy the "freedoms and rights" of living in a civilized society, you do what's right and good for those in said society, which means every single individual. This pandemic has shown me there are two types of people: those who believe in doing what's best for everyone even if it means personal sacrifice, and those who see being personally inconvenienced in any way as unacceptable/intolerable without any further consideration. The latter are, IMO, what's wrong with the human race. The Shopping Cart Theory really sums it up well, IMO: https://scoop.upworthy.com/viral-shopping-cart-theory-determines-moral-character
  14. Imagine being so hopelessly gullible and utterly braindead to think Trump's going to be reinstated as POTUS this summer while also comparing his election defeat to what happened in Myanmar. (Or as the MAGAts call it, Mynamar) Buncha knuckle-dragging oxygen thieves. And hands down the sorest losers ever.
  15. Sure... If you completely disregard the fact it wasn't a penalty. There was no charge. The official who called it charging needs to get his eyes checked. Scheifele didn't take three strides and his feet didn't leave the ice prior to contact. Four games for #55 is yet another bungle by that assclown Parros and the DOPS. I expect Scheifele to appeal it but that still means he sits for at least two games, IMO. ****, the NHL's officiating and disciplinary systems are a disgrace.
  16. https://www.cbc.ca/news/health/covid-19-variants-vaccine-setback-1.6046643 This is troubling, to say the least. Especially as the world "re-opens" with vaccination rates increasing in first world countries.
  17. No history is erased when a useless statue is removed from a park, university campus, public space etc. The fact that such individuals would be "celebrated" to that degree is pretty messed up, IMO. And that's to say nothing of institutions, roadways, etc. being named after them. We can gloss over our nation's bloody past all we want but those skeletons in the closet, so to speak, will inevitably come out over time. We're seeing that unfold right now before our very eyes as we learn of the horrific reality of what residential schools actually were.
  18. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/survivors-faith-leaders-call-on-catholic-church-to-take-responsibility-for-residential-schools-1.6048077 The appalling silence of the church in its complicity is actually disgusting. Which is to say nothing of no real apologies or remorse being expressed.
  19. I like the logo. Clean and sharp, IMO. Minimalist works.
  20. I'm baffled 550 odd frontline health care workers didn't try and prevent their team from choking.
  21. Seems like an awful read.
  22. It's honestly gut-wrenching to learn about what took place for so long and affected the lives of so many. We see the reverberations of that history to this very day, unspeakable trauma passed down from one generation to the next. I learned a bit about residential schools as a kid but didn't really have the capacity to appreciate or understand the gravity of what it all was. And I only learned of it due to the fact that where I spent my summers growing up (Canyon Lake near Vermilion Bay, ON) there was a closed school nearby (McIntosh School - closed in 1969) and we would sometimes fish the shoreline near it where a stream poured into the lake. It always felt unsettling to see the old derelict buildings with fire damage and smashed windows, even as recently as last year when I was out there for some fall muskie fishing. Having learned about the residential school system more in-depth since university, it's become a sad, shameful reminder of our nation's history (both past and present). We need to be better.
