Another sluggish start but a strong second period redeemed that. The better team ended up winning - and cleanly. Oh, and **** Corey Perry. What a pile of turds.

For anyone wanting to read up on Pionk's university graduation, it's a gooder. https://www.nhl.com/jets/news/pionk-fulfills-a-family-promise-by-finishing-his-university-degree/c-321805580 Seems like an all-around fantastic person. Glad he's a Jet.

Since Trouba was traded, he has struggled in NY and Morrissey has struggled here. The two complemented one another very well and combined to be a hell of pairing. It's easy to take a dump on either but it shows how important pairing chemistry is, especially for a top pairing on the blue line. Neither has been able to find that same level since they were separated. What's worth nothing is both earned their respective shiny contracts based on their play together. Fortunately for the Jets, Pionk is turning into a pretty good top 4 defender and Heinola's potential is very promising. For Morrissey, IMO, his struggles have more to do with his pairing partner. If Poolman could stay healthy, I think those two would make a pretty solid top pairing but until then, #44 is not going to look the same way he did when Trouba was still a Jet. We see this happen often in the NHL when off-ice/business factors come into play. Karlsson and Subban immediately come to mind. Another former Jet, Myers hasn't looked the same since signing with the Canucks.

These blue line pairings are utterly ******* infuriating. Why is Niku back in the line-up?

It isn't like a seat on UNSC is something only Trudeau wants. Canada has been trying for roughly a decade to get one and in both bids, we were told to piss off. It failed in 2010 under the previous gov't and again last year under the current one. But to claim Canada is weak on the international diplomacy stage is just nonsense.

I'd rock this.

This has been the norm in parts of Asia for years already: Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea. When someone is sick, they wear a mask when they go out as a social responsibility in order to minimize the risk of spreading the illness. I still don't understand how wearing a mask to reduce the spread of contagious seasonal viruses is somehow equated to tyrannical actions like having's one's rights or freedom taken away. But that's another discussion.

What a performance. Absolutely bodies Boeser on that drive to the net and then clowns Holtby on the GWG. The vertical he gets on the puck is incredible. He wasn't kidding when he said he's never been more ready. He looks like he found his legs midway through that game, which is fantastic.

My best guess is Thompson's in to shore up the defensive side of things for the bottom 6. The Jets haven't been playing consistently well in their own end.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/london/london-bar-sign-racism-discussion-1.5918749 And then doubles down: Alex Petro needs to head back to grade school and work on his English. I am so sick of these COVIDiot fucks.

For any members here who own/drive a Hyundai or Kia: https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/marketplace-car-recall-investigation-1.5918348 Sounds like there's a class action lawsuit in the works.

While I disagree entirely with the opinion Ambrosie is singlehandedly at fault for all that's gone wrong since the pandemic began, that his "leadership" is bad, or that he's some scarf-sporting bogeyman, he is the commissioner of the CFL. To that end, he's effectively the "face" of the league* from the standpoint of its business operations. The same way he wears its successes, he's the one who wears its failures, even if neither are his solely his to bear. I think the issue that rubs many fans the wrong way has less to do with the current commissioner and more to do with how the CFL operates as an organization. Despite being a professional sports league, finances are often shrouded in secrecy and we're left to speculate on player contracts, team's SMS figures, profits and losses, etc. This culture has been around decades when it comes to the league's overall operational landscape, so it's not unreasonable as a fan to be put off by this. More openness wouldn't be a bad thing, IMO. We're all fans of the CFL and want there to be a 2021 season. 2020 sucked enough as it is without a CFL season, especially because our team couldn't defend its title, as well as the whole Atlantic expansion being shelved. Another lost season would be disastrous, so I hope whatever is taking place behind the scenes is progressing well. * it's no different when fans **** on Bettman or Goodell.

He looks more elusive than outright fast, and appears to read his blocking well when moving upfield.

True. But it's not like Arbuckle signed for peanuts. Sure, but these players signing contracts with a team is still contingent on the SMS. They've signed a ton of players and I don't imagine they're all taking discounts to be on the team. I'd be concerned to see Walters going all drunken sailor in free agency, that's all. Let us know what you find. I'm sure it'll be rational and objective, as with any other instance when a green hero goes to (insert colour of other team) zero.

Where the **** are they getting this SMS space to sign all these players?!
