Looks like he could do some damage on the big field.

I'm not sure if the addition of a defenseman is going to help what ails this team. I also have to wonder what the Jets would have to give up to get a worthwhile piece within the confines of their cap. Who's even out there worth a look right now? To me, it looks more like a system issue and some questionable deployment of personnel. The blue line pairings seem to rarely work. Their positional play in their own end is atrocious at times. Their puck movement out of their zone is inconsistent as hell. And when the forward lines decide to take a shift off and not bother defending, it exacerbates all the aforementioned issues.

Well, it'd inspire some confidence in us and make the CFL look not only like it cares but that it can be trusted, IMO. This league has basically sat on its hands for nearly a year now, save for a single ham-fisted attempt to get federal gov't assistance that ultimately failed. Nobody was surprised 2020 didn't happen but we're into mid-February 2021 and little information or progress on a 2021 season has been given. The CFL operates with too much secrecy. That's not a sound way to get support from the public.

Pedersen confirms Bombers are the CFL's Flagship Franchise

All of SK right now: -
To paraphrase Comic Book Guy: Worst off-season ever.

It's something unpredictable but in the end is right... I'm not sure if Bell has earned the benefit of the doubt. Spin or not, **** that shitty company.
-
Maybe a coincidence... But Bell seems pretty diabolical, so who knows.

Well, that and the fact it's the league's issue to get the logistics of a potential 2021 season sorted out. The CFL and the CFLPA are responsible for making sure this can happen. Individual teams signing players as they should be doing during free agency is a separate issue altogether.

Mocking others indirectly is being snide. There's no need for that kind of disparaging **** in a productive discussion. The forward lines were experimental in nature last night, which Maurice had stated was his plan prior to the game to balance out ice time. Dubois needed to get his legs under him, so I get the rationale behind what was done. If not for Beaulieu's lousy penalty, the Jets likely get a point last night and the loss stings a lot less. I just hope the line combinations for tomorrow's game are more familiar because there seemed to be a lot of miscommunication last night. Outside of the faceoffs, I thought the forwards played well enough save for a few bumps. If the team could roll lines structured as 1A, 1B, 2, 3, it would help spread things out. The blue line continues to struggle and is easily the Jets' weakness on its roster. Morrissey looks like a shell of himself but that could be due to his pairing partner(s), and DeMelo can't seem to get on track. Those are two big pieces not pulling their weight and it exacerbates the defensive issues more often than not. FWIW, advanced statistics show Forbort is one of the team's better defensemen in his own end; I'd say he's the least of the team's problems on the blue line right now. Beaulieu has been far and away the worst this season and he's been playing too much (cause and effect); maybe some time in the press box could help. He is not a top pairing defenseman and never will be, so why he's expected to play such a role baffles me. Perhaps Heinola is worth another look. I'd also like to see Poolman get back in the lineup and stabilize the back end. I have no idea if Samberg is ready; he's yet to suit up in the NHL. I've never been big on the blender approach to lines or pairings as it rarely seems to work over time and does not foster familiarity of comfort between players. 12 games into this abbreviated season, I think it's time to start stabilizing things, the blue line in particular. These mismatched defender pairings are hard to watch.

What does this even mean? How about explain your stance instead of making snide remarks?
-
The Jets' blue line is a bit of a yard sale right now. The pairings don't seem to be working, assignments get missed in the D zone, positioning is sketchy, and the puck movement into the neutral zone is awful to watch at times. I thought Beaulieu and Stanley had particularly rough outings last night. That high stick Beaulieu took was lame, even if Gaudreau sold the **** out of it. But how is that called and not Bennett's brutal cross-check on Morrissey moments before?

This "opinion" was embarrassing at first to read. Now it's just comical. The NFL chose its best officials for the biggest game of the year. But no official in any sport at any level has a perfect record of calling penalties/fouls/etc. Sarah Thomas being a woman is completely irrelevant to the discussion.
-
You obviously don't know who Sarah Thomas is, so maybe read up on the individual before posting such bigoted garbage. She's been an official in the NFL since 2015, starting as a line judge and then became a down judge in 2017. She's officiated in over 100 NFL games (both regular season and playoffs). It's almost like officials are imperfect and make bad calls every now and then, regardless of what's dangling between their legs or not.

Utterly despicable. Nothing but scumbuckets at Bell Media.

What a ******* dogshit corporation. Let's Talk only seems to apply to their scam day, not actually treating its employees or customers with any decency. **** Bell.

As you just said, they were dominant in the playoffs, which was a part of the 2019 season. Not to split hairs or get into a semantics discussion, but that's when being dominant matters most: when it's win or go home. "We weren't a dominant team in 2019." http://37.media.tumblr.com/71b766899c09cdac9f24721775327300/tumblr_n9ij0ekQmc1setsv8o1_400.gif And who knows which team shows up in 2021. It's too early to speculate, IMO.

McIntyre has been pretty insufferable since the trade.

The coronavirus is not influenza in any way, shape, or form. That's been covered in this sub-forum already a few times - in multiple threads. Coronavirus and influenza are two different types of viruses. The science was settled on that long ago. For someone who claims to "follow the science," you get the science wrong all too often.

Best third line centre in the NHL. 200 ft. game, face-off skill, physicality, shift driver. He does it all.
-
What a solid performance last night. Scheifele looked like he found his next gear, Connor was playing both ends of the ice, Hellebuyck stood tall (now the franchise leader in wins), Appleton had his best game as a pro, IMO. Now we wait for Dubois!

The "adults" who barely made through grade school are now self-proclaimed experts in virology, immunization/vaccination, and epidemiology. Dunning-Kruger Effect is the most dangerous disease out there.
