https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/marketplace-amazon-returns-1.5753714 Sounds like online shopping/e-commerce is wasteful across the board, not just with Amazon. That's pretty disgraceful.

Cactus Cut Nachos and Steak Bites. Getting rid of those two items hopefully got someone fired.

Great write-up from Ken Wiebe on the trade: https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/re-acquiring-paul-stastny-benefit-jets-multiple-ways/

Works for me.

Time for Chevy to get that blue line shored up.
-
I guess that settles the 2C situation for at least a year.

This comparison makes very little sense. Comrie is AHL calibre (and a goalie), Hendricks was a 4th liner for the majority of his career (but was a solid locker room presence here), and Dano is a bottom 6 at best. Stastny is older now but he's still strong as a 2C, excellent in the face-off circle, and a solid play-maker. At this point, it remains to be seen how he'd pan out here on a second stint but the fact he enjoyed his first go-round here and had very good chemistry with his linemates speaks to the potential this trade has. My only objection* is the Jets taking on his entire cap hit. Otherwise, this is a relatively low-risk trade (he has only one year on his contract) that would give this team a second line centre it desperately needs. * it's not a big objection, to be clear

He's still a strong 2C and his chemistry with Laine and Ehlers two years ago was so fun to watch. IMO, this trade would be a smart and solid stop gap for a season but I'd be lying if I said I didn't want Vegas to retain some of that $6.5M cap hit.

Meh, let Murica's COVID-infested MAGAts dump on us - and whatever other country that has better standing in the international community and quality of life for its citizens. If ignorant deflection and shitting on others make them feel better about their dumpster fire of a nation, let 'em fill their boots with that hilarious delusion. I think regardless of who wins the election next month, the road ahead for the USA is going to be a turbulent one. I just hope, for the sake of the world, it's the road that slopes upward and not the opposite direction.

What, no hydroxychloroquine, UV therapy, or bleach injections...?

Just as well, IMO. Might as well enjoy the outdoors this weekend; it's supposed to be pretty nice.

Well, there was one, albeit very tiny, fan: Or perhaps the fly was just attracted to all the BS being spewed.

The Texans letting Hopkins go was maybe the dumbest move of the entire off-season.

About damned time. Looks like it'll affect FB and IG. Good riddance. Looking forward to Donald's rage tweet.

https://www.winnipegfreepress.com/local/they-arent-coming-back-at-this-point-572644922.html The last line basically says it all. And now they're basically free from any consequences after running away like the cowards they are. How pathetic.
