The NHL is a business at the end of the day. Granted the format for this return to play was a bit meh but the bubble system has proven to work well in preventing an outbreak amongst players, coaches, etc. while allowing the playoffs to continue. If a full 2020-21 regular season can take place, what's the issue? A sports league needs to operate to remain financially viable, regardless of restrictions or conditions in place to do so. Anecdotally, I just don't care about the teams now left standing in this post-season. But if the Garbage Knights lose tonight, I'll smile briefly.

That is actually incorrect. JARIA has resumed taking international flights from Minneapolis (Delta Airlines). United Airlines have yet to resume operations here with flights from Chicago and Denver. I think there was only a stretch of six or seven weeks when the airport here wasn't taking international flights.

But 2015 wasn't his final year, was it? Both were on the 49ers roster a season later and Kaepernick was statistically better than Gabbert in every tangible QB category. A man was shot in the back at close range by an incompetent police officer. This event, however, is just another example of statistics bearing out the fact there is a massive racial disparity in police shootings and black people are more likely to be shot and killed than any other ethnicity in the US. Those things you listed are all terrible and deserve to be discussed just the same, along with crime rates in marginalized communities, substance abuse, domestic violence, sex crimes, etc. I think it's more than fair to say anyone capable of empathy will not turn a blind eye towards any of those things. In fact, there have been protests surrounding many of those events and issues - on several occasions. But perhaps start up another thread if you feel the need to discuss them instead of the topic at hand.
