  1. I am convinced now, more than ever, the planet passed through a wormhole at some point in 2016 and we're now living in an alternate universe where nothing makes rational sense anymore. There seems to be no other logical explanation. How anyone can bestow such an award upon a bigoted, hateful, degenerate mouthpiece is nothing short of bewildering. But it's seemingly the norm lately.
  2. The Jets are horrid from a puck possession standpoint. It all starts in the defensive zone and outside of Pionk and Morrissey (his mistake in OT not withstanding), nobody on that blue line can move a puck well at all. Bitetto and Sbisa as a third pairing are a nightmare.
  3. Yeah, that 7-2 start certainly didn't help the team make the playoffs or anything. Oh, wait... Also, your bolded part is wrong. Nichols' QB efficiency vs. CGY in week 9 was 100.2 (in a win), while Streveler's in week 19 @ CGY was 59.2 (in a loss). It looks like your NDS is starting to flare up again, causing you to post made-up claims and hopelessly ignorant comments. It's amazing the lengths you'll go to vilify the former. And by amazing, I mean pitiful.
  4. Oof.
  5. Franklin isn't under contract. He's a free agent. https://www.cfl.ca/fa20/#ARGOS

  7. Roslovic maybe. Connor...? **** no. His supposed lack of defensive ability wouldn't justify such a move, either. The kid's here to provide offense, and he does exactly that at a very proficient level. As for the blue line, I'm skeptical management makes any moves unless the team somehow goes on a tear this month. I think it's next season territory already, and I fully expect the Jets to take look at Hamonic on July 1st.
  8. Maybe someone should've told the CFL's best team in 2019 to actually show up for the biggest ******* game of the season. While I agree the Grey Cup half-time show was pretty meh, is it reasonable to compare the production values of a Grey Cup to a Super Bowl on equal terms?
  9. What are you crying about now?
  10. Does he owe the media here anything? No. He declined to comment after his team lost. That's hardly classless. I didn't know Billeck was a whiner. Anyway, great win last night. Another gritty, hard-nosed performance gets the team a much-needed victory. Hellebuyck was marvelous.
  11. Walters is doing a very fine job this off-season.
  12. https://www.transparency.org/cpi2019 Canada was ranked 12th in the world last year.
  13. He had a stretch of six games at the end of the 2017 season where he posted four 100-yard games and 5 rushing TDs. He's had one 100-yard game since (early 2018). A single good streak doesn't count for much, nor should it. He's proven nothing. Labeling him a star is a slap in the face to actual CFL stars, IMO.
  14. "Star" running back...
  15. Marshall Ferguson did some extensive digging and put out a thorough breakdown of Collaros' production through four games to cap off last season and the team's championship run. It's a great read: https://www.cfl.ca/2020/01/28/ferguson-breaking-collaros-2019-starts-winnipeg/ He didn't blow the lid off any game but he played smart and knew when to take his shots. It's still pretty remarkable how quickly he found chemistry with his receivers. Obviously, his health is of paramount importance. Keep him clean protected and I think there's good reason to feel very optimistic about what he (and this offense as a whole) can do in 2020, especially with a TC under his belt. 4,000 yards and 25-30 TDs would be nice to see.
  16. Even in that dogshit Bellefeuille offense in 2015, he had 840 yards and 6 TDs. In 2016, he missed half the season with a shoulder injury. When he did play, he had just shy of 700 yards and 6 TDs (that's a torrid pace over a full season). 2017 was a monstrous season for him and that's probably the best offense we've seen on this team in ages. And despite the QB issues in 2018, he still eclipses 1,000 yards and scored 10 TDs. He's a hell of a blocker, he's got good hands, he picks up YAC yards consistently well, and his route running is solid. He's also got a bit of a nasty streak which is great for getting into opposing DBs' heads. (see: 2019 playoffs) Adams can ball. I sure hope the team can keep him if at all possible.
  17. It's not like the development of players just stops, either. Morrissey, Connor, Laine, Hellebuyck all continued their development during the Jets' success of the last two seasons. They also were able to draft players during that time. Heinola, for example. So, yes. Drafting and developing doesn't end simply because a team gears up for a playoff run.
  18. You don't seem to ever answer anything... You just play silly bugger and deflect from the topic at hand, whining about the big, bad, "progressive" boogeyman - all while pretending to be a moderate, rational voice in this thread. Devil's Advocate only works when there's an actual basis in reality upon which to argue an counterpoint. You've done no such thing.
  19. The draft and develop hasn't worked...? You can't be serious. Scheifele*, Ehlers, Morrissey, Connor, Laine*, Hellebuyck*^… Off the top of my head, there are half a dozen major pieces of this team that were drafted and developed. The problems this season stem from what happened in the off-season. Losing half the blue line to free agency and having Byfuglien screw over the team are why the Jets are where they are at this juncture. This team's defensive identity is a shell of what it once was, special teams are a train wreck, and the system has been compromised with no realistic solution in sight to salvage the season. There's no doubt Cheveldayoff has some important decisions to make and he'll likely need to scoop up a piece or two to bulk up the blue line for next season. But to suggest the model in place hasn't worked because the team is struggling this season smacks of ignorance. Anyway, the lowering in prices of concessions seems like a meh attempt by TNSE to quiet the dissatisfaction of what's likely to be a lost 2019-20 campaign. I'm all for more reasonable prices for refreshments but ticket prices are slated to rise for the 2020-21 season, so I'm curious what the difference might be for those with tickets. * All-Star nod(s) ^ Vezina nods
  20. Nice to have an idea how the QB corps is going to look for 2020. I'm still curious what happens with Streveler but I hope he's in the mix and can continue to develop. Congrats on the new contract, Zach!
  21. Nice histrionics. You know, I think others here would be willing to take you seriously if you actually presented evidence for your ridiculous comments. Resorting to whataboutism and deflection is not a very respectable or rational way to make a point. In fact, it makes you look like nothing more than a troll. Which is to say nothing about your horrid grasp of the English language. The word you're looking for is hearsay. Hearsay. Once again: hearsay.
  22. I bet you're also butthurt he went and bought some donuts, too. https://travel.gc.ca/destinations/china https://www.cbc.ca/news/health/cornavirus-screening-1.5435523 https://globalnews.ca/news/6446395/wuhan-coronovirus-canada-airports/ You do realize a gov't can't just issue travel bans, right? Speaking of putting down the ******* bong and all... Only in your case, it's filled with meth.
