It is beyond irritating to read comments like these. And that's literally all you've done in this useless thread you made. You whine about others who criticize your ignorant opinions (nobody's attacked you, BTW), but you have absolutely zero issue actually attacking a 21-year old. What a petulant double standard. https://www.hockey-reference.com/players/l/lainepa01.html (do yourself a favour and look up actual stats) Laine has scored 110 goals since his rookie season. Of those, 66 are even strength, 44 are with the man advantage. So, no, the majority of his goals have not come on the powerplay. In fact, last season was the first time where his EV goals and PP goals were even at 15 apiece. His assists also follow a similar trend: of his 74 total assists, 50 are at even strength, 24 are with the man advantage. You and other similarly out-to-lunch fans parade his +/- as some trump card to justify your clueless, one-sided views, while flat out ignoring the more important stats. Little was -12 last season. Connor was -7 last season. Where's your irrational hatred for either of them? Laine having confidence in his ability does not mean he's a me first, team second player. I remember when this same label was erroneously placed on a young Alexander Ovechkin; we all know what he's managed to accomplish since then. Unless you have some actual evidence to prove your lame assertion, you're spewing nonsense based on what's ostensibly nothing more than an emotionally-fueled dislike for him. So, you shouldn't be surprised, much less insulted, others can't take your views on him seriously. And then you try and say he's why the team struggled down the stretch and into the playoffs - against the eventual champs, no less. That's garbage. If one player's struggles are why a team failed for nearly 1/3 of the season, that says more about the team's identity than anything else. But had you actually watched the Jets after the all-star break, you'd have seen reality for what it was: an entire team struggling with consistency, discipline, and poor play in its collective game - from top to bottom, up front to the back end. Take a look at the whole picture instead of singling out an individual. Your opinion on this matter is ****. Utter ****.

Bitter how? Is his opinion wrong? He played here for five years, four in a leadership role under the same DC whose system continues to show some ugly warts at very inopportune times. I think if anyone's qualified to have an opinion on it, it'd be Moe Leggett. Maybe he's a bitter about the way his career ended in the CFL; I think anyone as talented and passionate about the game would be, too. That's irrelevant, though. His pointing out what ails the defense when asked about it isn't without merit. He hit the nail on the head, IMO: the Bombers weren't playing to win. They were playing not to lose. And that's something we've seen a few too many times now in 2019.

Apparently nothing wrong with smacking an opponent with his own helmet you ripped off his head, either.

Honestly, I think the combination of LaPolice as OC and Hall as DC is a lousy one. Neither seem to complement one another as far as balance goes. We either see a super aggressive approach or a meek, conservative one. I don't get it. And I'm starting to wonder if that combination will result in yet another missed opportunity come November.

How you honestly equate humanity's present socioeconomic reliance on fossil fuels to the biological need to expel waste is beyond absurd. I can't say I'm surprised at your pigheadedness, though. This is the "strategy" you use when proven incorrect. Stick to the childish comments while you're at it, BTW. It really helps others take you and your ignorant opinions seriously. I'm more troubled by the double standard in play: accusing others of letting their emotions dictate what they say, while vehemently denying reality and making statements like "climate apocalyptics (that's not even a word) really want a mass cull," "98%* of us would be dead of starvation and cold," and "destruction of the economy and dangerous to the survival of mankind." There's some over-the-top, emotionally-fueled alarmist rhetoric for you. * The world's population dropping to 140,000,000 is such a ridiculous claim; it was approximately 10x that amount prior to the discovery of fossil fuels.

Ditto. I'd love to know what a single poll does to paint the majority of the populace in this country. Unfortunately, Canadians are being given two pretty shitty choices. If anything, that's what disappointing: the quality of our so-called leaders.

Humans have a biological need to defecate. Humans don't have an inherent need for fossil fuels. That's the point you and pigseye keep missing. It was a shitty false equivalence - no pun intended. That's rich coming from the guy constantly spewing diarrhea from his mouth as he trolls this thread and others. And in the spirit of discussion, there's way more that led to the boom of the human population in the 19th century than the discovery of fossil fuels. But I would expect someone as versed in climate studies as you purport to be to already know that.

No one is arguing the importance of petroleum in today's world; that was hardly the point. I said you made a garbage false equivalency, which you did. A human being doesn't need petroleum/fossil fuels to survive. The human race fared pretty well before it discovered them. A human being does need to defecate in order to survive. As if anyone has to even point that out to you.

Another it looks like another chip has fallen with Bolts' Brayden Point signing a 3-year bridge with a $6.75M AAV. Makes me wonder what effect this has, if any, on both Laine and Rantanen.
-
But the defense played well on Saturday in the first half. How does Hall get a pass in that loss (the defense allowed 21 points and nearly 250 passing yards in the 4th quarter)?
-
What a garbage false equivalency. We have to defecate; it's a biological necessity. https://www.cbc.ca/news/technology/global-temperatures-wmo-1.5293624 You're right: we're ******.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but...

I fear yesterday's loss and that to the Argonauts earlier this summer will come back to haunt this team when it comes to winning the division. -
