  1. Bingo. Pinning the blame on a struggling third year player is in no way reasonable. The leaders on this team aren't leading. That's a major problem. Also, the coaching staff needs to be take a look in the mirror and see what's not working.
  2. Stupid idiots.
  3. Ignorance is actually a noun. The adjective form would be ignorant.

  5. Wait... That Linda McMahon and the one from pro wrasslin' are one in the same...?! Jee-zus, I just thought the same name was a coincidence. Good gravy, that is comical.
  6. Playing to his (new) base. Seems like a smart move, even if it sounds like delusional nonsense.
  7. I'll take "Things That Didn't Happen for $200," Alex. Learn to read.
  8. How is he coddling them? It's on the player himself to play a 200 ft. game. Who on the top 6 is doing that well right now, anyway? A coach bears responsibility but so do the players, especially the ones with an 'A' or 'C' on the jersey. The leaders on this team aren't leading right now.
  9. Maybe. I'd put Morrow in over Niku, who still looks wet behind the ears far too often. I can't see that boding well come playoff time. He panics way too much for my liking. Myers was atrocious last night - maybe his worst game of the season. The top 6 was awful. Sure, missing Byfuglien and Morrissey affects the team but there's no reason why their collective defensive play is so abhorrent for such lengthy stretches. When that offensive firepower can't show up, you need to be sound in your own end. Lazy back-checking, poor positioning, minimal effort... Not a good recipe. If this is how the Jets want to play, they'll be dispatched in round 1 regardless of who they face. This style of hockey is not conducive to success when the playoffs begin.
  10. A slowdown is not a hiatus*. The science is not settled. Those were the two points I refuted because they were disingenuous comments on your part. I wouldn't lecture anyone on here about reading comprehension if I were you, BTW. Your grasp on many things intellectual is utter garbage. * hi·a·tus /hīˈādəs/ noun noun: hiatus; plural noun: hiatuses a pause or gap in a sequence, series, or process.
  11. Yeah, totally interesting... A study from September 2016. But of course the infallible No Tricks Zone posts it today, and being ever obedient to that garbage website, you decide to follow suit on here. Why not just be honest with yourself and post the original link? (http://notrickszone.com/2019/03/28/scientists-the-co2-greenhouse-effect-was-cancelled-out-by-clouds-during-1992-2014/) https://www.nature.com/articles/nature22315 There was no hiatus; temperatures actually continued to increase, but at a slower rate than anticipated. Using the word hiatus in a title is misleading and insincere. The science isn't settled. Unless one thinks controversy equates to something being settled, in which case I'd have to seriously question that person's understanding of basic concepts, much less scientific ones. Nice try, comrade.
  12. I'd be all for a rematch. I just don't see it happening based on how poorly the Predators have played vs. the Blues this season. My hope is those two meet in the first round and beat the absolute piss out of one another.
  13. If the Preds and Blues face each other in the first round, I don't see the Preds winning that series.
  14. Yeah, along with Benghazi and her butter e-mails. Oh, and maybe Obama's birth origins should be investigated, too.
  15. Hahahahaha... The deflection tactics are always good for a chuckle.
  16. I gotta go with Bishop. He's had a very good season and losing him to that injury - again - could be disastrous for the Stars. Losing a starting goalie is never easy for a team. Khudobin should be able to shoulder the load for the remainder of the season but the playoffs are a different animal. If the Jets do face the Stars in the opening round, not facing Bishop plays in their favour.
  17. I guess Wide Lefty thinks Dundon just cut a 1/4 billion dollar cheque willy-nilly...? What a mimbo.
  18. Yeah, it's sickening. They're all stuck in the stone age with archaic dolts running the show.

  20. Well, this really came out of left field... https://www.tsn.ca/dundon-aaf-considering-discontinuing-1.1280574
  21. I'm sure there are. There's also a ton of them in the GTA, too. But we all know what happened with the Bills Toronto Series.
  22. And anecdotally supported, no less. That settles it!
  23. How do you figure? And I think Noeller's point in spot on. The Bills Toronto Series was a joke, despite the city's proximity to Buffalo. Maybe the idea of a one-off game could gain more traction but I can't say I'd expect a pre-season NFL game here in Winnipeg to be any more successful, regardless of the participant teams.
  24. To watch depth/practice roster players play in a meaningless game...? I highly doubt it. NFL pre-season games in Canada... What a terrible idea*. *unless the host team and league are handsomely compensated
  25. In 177 games with the Islanders, he's got 38 goals and 33 assists (71 points). Those are pretty abysmal numbers for a player with a $5.5M AAV. At 33, he's probably not an asset to the team and worst of all, he's got four more years left on his contract.
