  1. IIRC, nobody's been put under oath at such a committee in 25 years. The same motion to have Cernick testify under oath was just voted down, too. I have no horse in this race but it is hilarious watching the blue brigade lose their minds on Twitter after Butts fell on the sword. Rempel "can't even"... LOL
  2. I should clarify. I'm for either or but I despise the time change. Stick to one and be done with it already.
  3. Sure, that's obviously good. It has nothing to do with them being unable to actually play last night, though. I'm sure the Bolts would be in a tougher position missing Cirelli or Paquette, as well as Hedman, Stralman, and Cernak (1/2 its starting blue line).
  4. https://winnipegsun.com/news/provincial/tic-toc-time-to-put-and-end-to-dst-in-manitoba-says-mla He's got my support. Changing between CST/DST is useless. We should just stick with one or the either.
  5. Not to mention missing Lowry. Oh, and Morrissey, Byfuglien, and to a lesser degree, Morrow. With a healthy squad, we saw what the Jets could do vs. the Bolts. Things basically went downhill when Hellebuyck got hurt and an ice cold Brossoit had to come in on that penalty kill. The team didn't look the same after that and just couldn't bounce back from that 3-1 deficit.
  6. It must've been Obama.
  7. And lousy options from which to choose. I mean... Looks a bit like a wheel of insanity. That said, I don't know what the alternative(s) is/are.
  8. It's almost as though a line losing its centre is a detriment said line's overall chemistry and effectiveness. Well, colour me shocked. Pump the brakes, man.
  9. This. That 2017 leadership race wound up being a joke.
  10. https://www.bluebombers.com/2019/03/04/two-months-draft-day/ Bombers' picks for 2019: fourth and fifth in the first round and then 14th, 23rd, 32nd, 41st, 50th, 59th and 68th overall. The Q&A with Walters is pretty informative, too. I like how he explains his views.
  11. You make some good points. I guess my concerns had more to do with their general play throughout the month of February. The lack of attention to detail, inept defensive play, special teams taking a bit of a nosedive, and some discipline issues. They really seemed to play down to their opponents in many cases and looked to have got away from what's made them a successful team since last season. Their grip on the top spot in the Central could be so much better had they managed better efforts against middling teams and bottom-feeders (particularly the Senators). Fortunately, they also seemed play their best games against the top teams. It looks like they're trending in the right direction, which is great considering the opponent they face tomorrow.

  13. That Bolts' blue line scares the bejesus out of me. Should be one hell of a game!
  14. Wheeler was out of his damn mind last night. What a beauty! Hellebuyck, Beaulieu, and Trouba had very nice games, too. It's only been two games but it looks like the team has finally woken up a bit. Makes me wonder if that loss to the Wild last Tuesday lit a fire.
  15. And then he scores the game's only goal.
  16. Sean Avery needs to shut his mouth and go back to being the irrelevant sack of rat droppings he is. And the assbleed from The Big Smoke is pretty rich. For a fanbase that loves to adulate its team's otherwise long-forgotten past, their short-term memory sure sucks. Weren't these the same fans a few years bullying Reimer's wife on Twitter? Weren't these the same fans throwing jerseys on the ice at ACC? Were these not the same fans booing their own player last year? Hypocrisy sure is a stinky cologne. And L'Eau de Biased Blue Foliage is really selling well at the moment. I can't help but wonder how they'll react should this same scenario take place in Toronto in about five years.
  17. Aaaaand of course he manages to throw Hillary's name into the mix. What about Obama?
  18. Well, that's just great. Cripes.
  19. What a stupid question to ask in a poll. "So, where do you least like to travel to get paid an insanely ridiculous amount of money to play a sport?" Oh, and Boucher out in Ottawa with Crawford taking over in the interim.
  20. Oh, I'd put money on this being intentional. Poor taste for sure. But that's how it is these days.
  21. Disgusting. What an oxygen thief.
  22. February has absolutely sucked for this team. Last night was another great example of what's wrong with the Jets lately: lousy defensive zone play, a PK on the decline, and an inability to hold a lead. These losses to inferior teams are just sickening, especially last night with Winnipeg hockey royalty in town.
  23. Twice more (Mar. 1st, 23rd) at home and that's it. Only 4 times this season. To be honest, the Blues concern me more than any other team in the Central right now.
