  1. Ha! This is true. Well, a division banner at the very least would be nice.
  2. Nobody's catching the Bolts for that. I'm more so concerned about holding down top spot in the division and thus home ice advantage in the first two rounds.
  3. Half the goddamn blue line is out. Christ.
  4. https://www.capfriendly.com/teams/goldenknights McPhee has some serious work ahead of him this off-season.
  5. Without question. They're worse than greenies (IMO) because their numbers are much higher. They are perhaps the most insufferable fans in sports. And really, where would Maurice have slotted in Petan? He was given plenty of chances to succeed in the NHL and didn't take advantage of those opportunities. Leafs fans are such idiots.
  6. I'm not sure if speed's the issue. If he couldn't crack the Jets' top 6, he won't crack the Leafs', either. I love how much adulation he's already getting from the blue foliage fanboys, though.
  7. A 7th rounder is nothing for a solid glue guy and someone who can take Lemieux's spot on the 4th line.
  8. Stone to Vegas. Barf.
  9. I meant on the defensive side. He seemed to be fighting the puck a few times early on in his own end. Strong finish, though.
  10. Some more trivia from tonight's win:
  11. Congrats, Coach! Using the blender worked tonight.
  12. Great way to end the period with Lowry getting one, too!
  13. Second line looks great tonight. Ehlers was a punch in the arm the team needed but they started to look a bit sloppy halfway through the first. Is it just me or is there something amiss with Trouba?
  14. Nasty. Just nasty.
  15. Looks like it's official: Duchene to the Jackets.
  16. That's a separate topic, though. Stone is also a hometown player, while Panarin has stated he wants to play where it's warm and sunny. I just can't see the latter being on Cheveldayoff's radar, much less by having to move a young, versatile player like Roslovic for a UFA who wouldn't re-sign here. Frankly, that tweet I posted from Portzline came across as homerish drivel. And really, we as fans have basically no idea in whom the GM is interested. All indications are the Jets need a centre, anyway. A top 6 winger would be a nice addition but more of a luxury compared to a centre. I have no idea what Cheveldayoff does prior to the deadline. It's so frustratingly difficult to get a read on him. That being said, I expect something good to happen.
  17. Well, we saw glimpses in 2015-16, 2016-17, and then a consistent showing last season, and then again on and off this season. Last season was easily the most consistent this team has ever played as far as its team game goes. I mean, up until the last two meetings, the Jets have owned the Avs, they just beat the Knights last month, and they beat the Bolts back in December. And no. The Jets beat the Preds because they're the better team. We saw that in last year's second round and more recently this season (last month). When the Jets actually buy into the system and play to their strengths, they're a top team. Unfortunately, they're not doing it consistently lately, which is proving to be costly. I find it strange you want to blame the coach but not the players - the ones on the ice who aren't executing consistently or playing at their best.
  18. The part where you make up things and insult him. Did you even watch the video? How does it look like he's "eating too many cheeseburgers"...? He's wearing a hockey jersey the entire time. His face doesn't look fatter. Where in the video is he limping - slightly or otherwise? He walks to and from centre ice, up stairs, down stairs... What limp? You apparently seem to enjoy taking shots at #15 from your keyboard but the link you posted did nothing but refute your claim.
