  1. Uh, the 90s called - reminding you of that dreadful US expansion, a mountain of legal issues, and the NFL loaning a few million so the league could survive.
  2. Sure. But at least Laine attempted to back-check... rather than just stop up and watch. The Jets looked sluggish at inopportune times last night. The third period was pretty bad. I thought the top 6 had a rough game along with Trouba and Morrissey. It amazes me how they seem to forget about their speed sometimes.
  3. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/identity-fraud-calgary-victim-1.4957943 Methinks there'll be more to the story (bit of a slight stench of internal conspiracy at the dealership itself) but it is simply baffling how any financial institution could allow such a thing to happen in this day and age. "yOu'Re RiChEr ThAn YoU tHiNk!"
  4. It's amazing how dumb one person can be.
  5. https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/trump-us-government-shutdown-1.4955559 Get your popcorn, folks.
  6. Hellebuyck did what's expected of him in net and he was pretty good in that regard last night. Out of the crease, however, his puck-handling is often disastrous. That blind backhand late in the 2nd was absolutely inexcusable. He either needs to learn how to handle the puck better or just let his defensemen do it instead. This team looks tired right now. The holiday break can't come soon enough, IMO.
  7. How is it getting stale? It's arguably the most heated rivalry in the league and next season should be no different. There's only so much that can be done with the schedule in a nine-team league.
  8. Streveler went in after Nichols was injured on a play late in the 4th quarter. He made 4 completions on 5 attempts for all of 36 yards. Of those passes, he hit Adams twice, Thompkins once, and Harris once. I guess I'm curious as to what's impressive about that.
  9. What game was that?
  10. Tuunbaq!
  11. https://www.tsn.ca/melnyk-being-countersued-for-1-billion-over-lebreton-venture-1.1228282 What a disaster.
  12. Eh, I posted it more for the historical value than anything. The history of the Canadian Arctic is pretty fascinating, IMO. As far as major news, this is pretty significant: http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/energy-sector-package-sohi-1.4950619
  13. Well, no. Unless you're referring to the WSF vs. the Riders, in which he also saw action and made two pass attempts.

  15. Tanev won't get $2M. That's absurd. And trade Ehlers...? LOL That's it for me, folks!
  16. It wasn't Streveler's first playoff game, either. One play doesn't make or break a game, anyway. Should Nichols have thrown a crisper pass? Yes. Should Adams have not given up on his route? Yes. Both players share responsibility in that play not being successful. However, that one unsuccessful play wasn't the reason the Bombers lost the WF.

  18. Best part is the notion Quenneville wants to take over coaching that dumpster fire.

  20. What a spectacular game last night - from start to finish. He's such a beauty. Time for a #55 jersey.
  21. Well, I didn't say the Jets shut him down. Floyd did and you got your orange panties in a wad over it. That's exactly the reaction I surmise he was going for, and you gulped it down - hook, line, and sinker. FWIW, the Jets did a better job containing McDavid last night than they did back on Oct. 16th. That isn't irrelevant. And when you make idiotic blanket statements, don't expect anyone to take your opinions seriously. That's on par with someone trying to say if two players aren't injured and in the lineup, that team automatically wins. You can go ahead and keep spouting your salty commentary and trying to demean a rival fanbase by making absurd and non-existent parallels, but it's only reflecting poorly on you. Rather than ignore the one biased comment, you let it get to you, implode instantly, and act like a complete homer while trying to dump on everyone else. That is how greenies act, BTW. Well done.
  22. I think giving Brossoit the start is the right choice. Hellebuyck will play Sunday against the league's best and I think Brossoit needs a chance to redeem himself a bit after the last game vs. CHI.
  23. Yikes... You know the assbleed is serious when this is the type of reactionary comment you decide to post. What's even more adorable is how you're playing right into his hands and losing your head. But Jets fans are the ones acting like greenies... Good form. Oh, and do tell us more on how "ringing the post" counts for anything.
