  1. Bottom line is Ritchie took a stacked team to the Grey Cup and they were embarrassed by a significantly inferior opponent. He never took that stacked team there again despite going 12-6 and 11-7 in the two years that followed, winning just a single playoff game. What's more successful about that? No championship is no championship and I don't see anyone bragging about playoff wins that didn't result in achieving the ultimate goal and ending this woefully pathetic drought.
  2. After getting owned in the first. 5 GA in 20 minutes of hockey. Dis. Gust. Ing.
  3. Glad you enjoyed your first season as a Blue Bomber fan! Hopefully, the boys can win that one game sooner than later - plus the next one. And we can all celebrate that drought finally dying.
  4. The Bombers going downhill after Mack threw LaPolice under the bus in 2012 had more to do with a lack of talent and depth than what LaPolice brought to table as a coach. He's not HC material. As an OC, he's capable of some great schemes and extracting very good production from of his personnel. He seem to struggle at making adjustments, though. And sometimes, his gameplans are way too vanilla when they needn't be. Nichols doesn't deserve a pass for Sunday's loss (he was awful) but neither does LaPolice (his gameplan was awful). The offense as a whole outside of Harris and Adams was mostly putrid for the entirety of that game. There's ample blame to go around, especially when you consider how this unit performed against this very opponent a few weeks earlier. How do you go from putting the boots to them to looking absolutely feeble and powerless?
  5. Just ignore his nonsensical commentary. It's the same moronic garbage again and again. And now he's trying to claim he knows what Harris was thinking or where he was looking. What an idiot.
  6. How is that something to brag about exactly...? The Bombes have solid NAT depth thanks to pretty excellent drafting... Your team? Not so much.
  7. What I can't understand is just a few weeks ago, this offense put up its best performance against this Stampeders defense.
  8. Well, that was the mantra of that entire 2011 season. The defense is what got that team to the big dance. The offense was mediocre at best and struggled often, especially when the defense had a bad game. Did you expect the GC to be any different, going up against a Lions' defense that was just as good, if not better at the time? I'm making no excuses for LaPolice's gameplan in the WF on Sunday, but the parallel to a game seven years earlier is non-existent. Well, that is patently false.
  9. The 2011 GC was nowhere the same. You're comparing apples and oranges and that Lions team outclassed that Bombers team when it really mattered. The 2018 Bombers were in the WF almost to the finish. Was the offensive gameplan lousy this past Sunday? Yes. Were the Bombers blown of the water at any point in the game? No.
  10. More ridiculous twisting and turning in your ongoing vendetta against LaPolice. It wasn't remotely the same at all. LOL The Lions dominated that game from start to finish. The Bombers added two late TDs with under 4 minutes left after the Lions let off taking a 31-9 lead midway through the fourth quarter. Thanks for the morning laughs.
  11. RedBlacks DB Rose suspended: http://3downnation.com/2018/11/20/cfl-suspends-redblacks-db-jonathon-rose-grey-cup/ Hopefully, this sticks. What he did the other day was inexcusable.
  12. Couldn't agree more. He only played one more season in the CFL after that trade. I also have to wonder, and this obviously would depend on how free agency goes vis a vis the O-line, but with the addition of Gray, does this make Neufeld potential trade bait for his former (and home province) team?
  13. Just this past season (0-4), so I'd take it with a grain of salt. In 2017, the Bombers were undefeated without him in the lineup (4-0). In 2016, they were also undefeated without him in the lineup (3-0).
  14. Developing some nice chemistry as of late.
  15. That giveaway was almost as ugly as Roussel's stupid face.
  16. Well, the history of this regime finding INT receiver talent isn't exactly inspiring hope that this upcoming off-season will be an exception. I'd rather see them go after a proven FA or two than roll the dice on unknowns yet again.
  17. No way that's sustainable. He did nothing to earn a raise, either. In fact, he probably earned himself a substantial paycut (i.e., a renegotiated contract).
  18. That's the best you've got...? Sick burn. Great reminder, BTW. Do you want a congrats for being "right" or something? Same old childish troll behaviour from you. It'll be a good day when you run away from this forum like you did TEP. What a tool.
  19. Thanks for reminding me I still get to live rent free in that empty head. Stupid troll.
  20. Agreed. Not a snowball's chance in hell. That salary for Nichols looks really ugly going into 2019. I think the organization has to do whatever it can to get him to restructure his deal and spread around the savings. He's not worth that kind of money.
  21. You do realize the irony of posting this deflecting and boneheaded comment in this thread, right...?
  22. Not a bad idea. #82 certainly uses his strong hand to catch.
  23. Good. Glad he's dwelling on that game. Perhaps it means the Bombers defense is occupying space rent-free in his head.
